If we APD a rsv day, can you swap that for picking up a rsv day elsewhere in the month? I'd rather not take the pay hit, but have to do what I have to do to get my son's first bday off.

Thank you for the facts supporting your assertions.
I can see now that our work rules are better than they have ever been prior to chapter 11. 3 day trips worth less than 14 hours. We certainly work a lot less days than we ever have in the past 30 years. And don't get me started on our incredible scope. It's like a fantasy dream. Over 50% of our domestic departures flow by DCI carriers. I bet our ALPA forefathers never dreamed we would come this far. And the alliances!! Giving half our flying to foreign carriers. The widebody promotions are coming so fast it's like winning the Super Bowl and the World Series at the same time. A select few won the lottery at Delta and now they spend their time at the top telling us how great things are. They are a cancer. They subvert our advancement and our profession. It is 2014 and ALPA is so pathetic their pilots cannot have internet access to view hazardous weather and their passengers can. ALPA cannot accomplish the simplest of tasks. They are to busy advising regional carriers to make concessions when there is no supply of pilots to hire. I got mine. So the rest of you can eat dirt. |

You can try to swap.... But once you APD, it is an immovable day off and you cannot do anything on it (and your APD is gone until your hire anniversary).

Can I pick up a rsv day later in the month to avoid the pay hit? Or do I have to give the sick leave monitoring folks some work like PD suggested? ;) (And put Pineapple guy one step closer to a coronary)

Hey guys,
Getting ready to fly a lot of MEX trips with layovers. Seems we're reclaiming some of those from AS as well. A few questions, what's the deal with security and liquids/gels going into Mexico. It's been awhile. Also, any problem bringing my wife with me for some CUN layovers? Thanks in advance! |

I haven't had any issues with liquids/gels. They will take whatever duty free you try to bring in from you.
