Although I wish we did not have vacation sell back, if you are going to go after a pilot for exercising contractual rights to make extra cash, you better be pure of heart. The same case could be made for any pilot that flies over 75 hours, picks up a green slip, flies over what the pick up would be in a non vacation month etc... Any of those help the company in the same way.

Too lazy to look, but I believe the very first one (the one on the 20th) starts later in the day, and then from that point on they start at 0700. Might be remembering that wrong.

As of 8:58 they have not run Jan. They either started late or are bogged down by FAR 117 conflicts.

Today is Friday, not a Sunday right? I guess we can't blame it on the "weekend help"! :D |
Read the new MEC chairman's letter. Same old stuff.
From this point forward, we need to repeat one simple fact every day. The concessions extorted during chapter 11 are no longer necessary. It is long past time to snap up, eliminate all concessions and restore our scope, pay, work rules and quality of life. If we cannot accomplish this now, in this environment, then we never will. |

Wasn't there an issue with the first PCS run last month too?
Edit: Just talked to scheduling and they said they are running one category at a time due to the FAR 117. No estimate when all will be done. |

You have to have 30 hours off free from all duty within 168 consecutive hours prior to a FDP.
Assuming that your 30 hours rest was at the front end of a 168 hour period, you have 138 hours of "available" space for a FDP or short call before you have to be released into 30 hours of rest again. That's about 5 3/4 days of duty in a 7 day rolling period. Nu |
