That's how I do it. It's getting hot bro, mind if I crank up the APU? 99.9% will say "yeah, go for it." There's .1% that'll reach up and turn it off, "nope, too soon." Same ass that blows AA's **** across the ramp trying to taxi out heavy weight on one engine.
I totally agree. I like FO's that keep track of the cabin temp, especially on the ground. Always good to make sure that there is always air flowing into the metal tube. |
Flights are cancelling due to no 88B crews today.
FLT CXLD - FLIGHT OPERATIONS - CREW UNCOVERED It says this under flight status. There will be a lot more. |
DPA vs ALPA vs Restoration vs Everything Else
For the next day and a half lets try to put away all the negativity and dissatisfaction. Listening to a fundraiser on the radio for a local Children's Hospital a mom passed along this truth:
"If you don't have a child in this Hospital, you are the richest man in the world". Instead of focusing on what we DON'T have, lets take time to remember what we DO have. Merry Christmas brothers and sisters! |

It's not just 88B. Looks like there's a chance for an epic crew scheduling melt-down over the next couple of days. There are a whole lot of categories with lots of trips to cover and 0 reserves available. With snow in NYC and DTW, -14 temps in MSP, the northern tier is going to need some luck and appropriate thinning on a very busy travel day. If they aren't careful this will cascade.
Would solve a lot of these scheduling issues every Christmas/Thanksgiving/New Years/4th July. |

Two words.....Holiday Pay.
Would solve a lot of these scheduling issues every Christmas/Thanksgiving/New Years/4th July. They're already out of GS in several categories and going into IA. That means to me that those that would have volunteered to fly for Holiday Pay are already used up. |
