Speaking of irony, did anyone else see the new Walmart advertisement? It starts out showing closed factories, empty homes on deserted streets, while the voice over is saying things like "We're rebuilding, we're brining it back, we're doing what we do best..." etc.

I thought it was an add for the city of Detroit or something like that, but at the very end, the big blue Walmart logo comes on the screen. I nearly fell of my couch!

Try to find anything at Walmart that doesn't say made in China or India on it!

Spit on the floor? Boeing will tell you that saliva causes unrepairable corrosion and you had better ... buy a new airplane. Saw a few good people lose careers after getting snookered on this deal.

Did the pilots get fired?

I worked at Mesa when I got hired here (2000). After I left, my crash pad roommate lost his job for a tail strike he didn't do. Showed up at 6:00 am in ROA for a flight to DCA I think, FO does walk around in the dark without a flashlight and doesn't notice any damage. They take off and can't pressurize. On landing, they find the tail had been struck, on landing the night before, and the pilots didn't say anything.

Paycheck and profit sharing showed up this morning in my account. Thank you to whomever hit the press to send button in the ATL.

I think those two pilot groups realized how much "Leverage" they have and are using it to its fullest extent. Good for them!

Profit Sharing check

Got mine this morning!

One question, why does DALPA take a dues payment out of my profit sharing check??

Because your income is subject to dues, and profit sharing is income.

We have agreed to take less pay in exchange for profit sharing, so it seems perfectly reasonable to expect that to be subject to dues.

Does anyone have any advice on Delta international jumpseating? I am stuck overseas on a military trip and trying to get back for an interview there. I see some open flights out of Frankfurt and was wondering how difficult it is to do?
