Ok - so tomorrow is day four of my four day trip. With the exception of leg one, this whole thing has been one big reroute. Tomorrow they have me DH'ing to ATL and that's it - problem is, I'm MSP based. So the question is, can they build an open ended trip like this? My rotation makes no mention of actually getting me back to base and there is currently no scheduled release. BTW, I'm a regular line holder.
Thats OK SD changed your base via memo. There is a little known codicil of the DAL PWA that gives the SVP Flight Operations unlimited powers to restablish order during company emergencies. There are lots of crews just sitting around. Delta has lost the plot. Had about 20 DH flight attendants on our flight last night which dang near cancelled due to... no FA's. We came close to timing out with the extension. This thing needs to be post-mortem'd and a better plan needs to be in place for next time. Day 1 was understandable, even day 2, but we are on day 4 here in a new month, and it's still FUBAR. Kiss that shared reward goodbye for Jan, maybe Feb!
Also, my flight advance for this year is a couple hundred less than it was for last year after the same deductions... awesome!!! Same thing happened to me. Social Security taxes are most likely the culprit as you were probably over the cutoff at the end of last year. :( Scoop |
On a related note...they buried the "paycheck" link in the deltanet overhaul... and put "monthly updates" where "paycheck" was.

Call to deviate from the deadhead and hit 2, 2, 3. See what happens! That should auto deviate you from back end DH. Check your Sched. Reroutes like this are so stupid they are almost funny.

Yep, add in the two hours or so of report time makes the first report... noonish.

If a green slip was flown the beginning of Jan, when does the extra pay get paid last of Jan check or Feb 15th check. My first green slip ever just wondering when the bucks hit the paycheck????

Wondering if any DL pilots could help out on a nonrev/load check question?
My wife and I are looking at JFK/TLV for a vacation (DL468, DL469). I am a pilot for 'OO' and can see loads and list us OK, but there is a warning saying that the flight will depart with empty seats to take revenue cargo. Ok fair enough... does anybody have any insight as to how badly this can be weight restricted this time of year? How many empty seats would be considered "safe"? The flight is on a 744 with about 10hr block going there, 13 coming back. |
