I see -9 fewer 777As from this time in 2012 to now.

It was -27 in ATL, +18 in DTW from 2012 to 2014.

Looking for April 2008 data.

I can check it then if I want to, but they can't require me to check it on my days off according to the FAA. Shouldn't it be "the earliest the company may attempt to contact you is 0000 on your first day on call". There should be no schedule check required.

The reserve schedule check is contractual, its not "them," it's what "you" said you would do.

Well I tried to post the numbers but can't make it format. Essentially however we had 231 CA displacements since contract 2012 was signed. We have had 761 CA awards in that time frame for a net of 530 new awards. I don't know the exact retirement numbers however about 160 Working CA's went out on the ER program and I am guessing at about 100 additional retirements. That still leaves a gain of 270 Captains while overall block hours are almost flat. Pretty remarkable in light of the massive job loss from the contract.

Thanks for finding that data FTB...and I must say you are looking rather dapper today!

Are you next going to 'inspect' the new hire F/A's with those binoculars? :D

Just for the record I didn't say 50 in 2015, I said the 787s would start arriving in 2014.

And the 50 widebody RFP was a separate rumor, but part of what I posted.

Also, I was told this info, I didn't make it up out of thin air. I did not sign a non disclosure agreement either. I have absolutely no way of knowing if it will play out (the 787 rumor).

OTOH, I made up the widebody RFP and now SD is parroting me, so go figure.

Thank you for the AME recommendations!

We all hope the 787 rumor proves to be true.

And my only point was, those were mostly narrow body Capt. spots, not 777 or 747 Capts. As FTB just showed, we are down nine 777 Capts. since 2012. I don't recall seeing any huge amount of 747 Capt. replacements either, so I'm guessing they are down as well.

Where did you get the +56 777/747 Capt. number?
