Back on topic for the narrowbody guys... 717 to start DTW-AUS on June 5th. ATL-AUS still showing all MD90s.

Anybody have recommendations for AME in ATL, preferable north of the perimeter? If not, that is ok...don't mind driving! Thanks

Not Britt. His office demands two dates of service if you want something basic in addition to the Physical. For a cholesterol check his office wanted another day of my time and nearly $400. Even if you self pay they want a second visit for billing and are jerks about it.

Going to try FlightHealth Online

His father was a UAL flight surgeon and their practice is only pilot physicals. In and out in minutes. Great guys, big picture. I drive up from Peachtree City because they're so good.

Ditto on Doc Harper. I drive up to see him. I get my Vietnamese Pho fix when I go up to Doraville.

You must not be familiar with how pleasant Airbus EADS is to work with. The French version of customer service is not recognizable.

The problem with the C Series is the price. You would not believe how well Delta negotiated the price on the 737_900's. Bombardier thinks they have a game changer and are not discounting. The E190 NEO might be a better deal and Embraer might see a chance to force Bombardier out of the biz. The C is a 6 billion dollar program.

I wonder if the 767 line being open adds to the discussion. It fits what Anderson is describing.

Thanks for posting this.

Not if you read my posts. The 717 is not very cost effective (that is why SWA did not want them). The engines are uber expensive to maintain compared to a more common design like a CFM 56 or JT8. The 717 is an interim solution and was an outlier of C2012.

Someone really needs to make an airplane sized between the 737-900/A321 and 787-8/A330-200.

How about an A310 with new engines, an A330 cockpit, sharklets, and tweaks wherever they can find them to save weight and gain efficiency. Shouldn't cost too much to design and would really fill a needed gap.
