KNOXVILLE, TENN. (KFGO-AM) -- People associated with the Fargo Airsho are shaken by word that a popular pilot who performed at the show a number of times has died in a crash in a remote area of Tennessee.
Airshow committee co-chair Dick Walstad says Jim Maroney was killed when his "Super Chipmunk" went down Sunday night south of Knoxville. Walstad says Maroney was headed from his home in Wisconsin to an air show in Florida. Walstad calls Maroney an outstanding, safety-minded pilot. Maroney, a Casselton native, was a former squadron and group commander for the 1-19th wing of the Air National Guard in Fargo. He retired from the military in 2002. He was most recently was a chief pilot for Delta Airlines. Very sad news today. |

I would have to guess that productivity lost by the number of deadheads added to cover that type of flying would far far outweigh the costs when somebody calls in sick because of a sick kid.
This company makes billions a quarter, it would be kinda sad if they were pinching pennies over people wanting to stay home and take care of sick kids. |

Well then it is incumbent upon you and me and all of us to make sure our friends and family write to our congressmen/senators and fight against those numbnuts like Marco Rubio that don't think things like a preclearance facility in abu dhabi us any big deal.
Miami Airport and Sen. Rubio: Unacceptable customs lines must be addressed T, might be time for a second letter and/or visit to his office... Gotta love politicians. |
Quick question... If you are over the white slip pickup limit, can you swap with the pot for more time?

Ebola?
I have an upcoming trip to Accra with Morovia turns. Just read in the news that Ebola is spreading in Guinea and Liberia (Monrovia is in Liberia). Too close for comfort. This is too close to our Africa ops. What re-course do we have in situations like this? Any input?
