Examples of 737-900 CG shift tank in operation, that's a lot of shift

First, the wing only supports half the weight of the aircraft, the tail skid supports the other half until almost cruise speed.

Second, the FC Passengers are fed bran flakes and high fiber meals. This results in a transfer of weight in cruise to an aft mounted tank after TOC, reducing tailplane angle of incidence and thus induced drag.

lol

It's not your fathers Boeing is it?

Thanks Alan and all the rest, I think I'm a little more confused, but the else start next sounds right. Hope it works, actually taking vacation on my vacation!?

What a rough month with IT. Is their union doing a work slowdown? :D

Full system crash, blastcallaggedden, and now the worst PBS issues I can remember!

The "issue" is that Microsoft stopped supporting IE8, and IE 8 is the browser in the lounge computer, and wait for it, what Easy Bid interfaces with. In fact if you had IE 9 or later you saw no issues. Easy Bid needs to update their programing to work with IE9 or later and that issue will be resolved.

They basically stopped supporting IE8 about the exact same time the new update was made to Navtech because of Microsoft stopping their support of IE8. Its a bunch of little things that resulted in a big deal for our bidding purposes.

I enjoyed Paris when I was on the ER, my wife has never been, I think that is where we want to go via BRU and a train.

And it'll probably be April 2016 before we get to go, but we'll go.

Also worthy of consideration if you fly into BRU: Bruges and Ghent. 1.5/1 hrs away from BRU by train respectively. Both gorgeous (unlike BRU, which I consider a rather ugly city and fairly boring as well). Fantastic beer. Easy to do as a daytrip from BRU, though I'd much rather sleep in Bruges and do Ghent as a sidestop on your way back to BRU or down to Paris. We just had a few free days before my class @ DL so only stayed 4 nights, but my wife loved it...and is newly addicted to expensive Belgian quadruppels at 11% ABV!

Has anybody been able to get Easy Bid to work this week with IE 9 or Chrome? Is a fix going to happen before the 13th?

That may explain EasyBid's issue. But that doesn't address Navtech sh!tting the bed, the full-up server crash, and blast-update buffoonery. Delta IT is struggling.

Even if IE8 caused some of the problems, Delta had months to prepare for it. It's not like Microsoft decided Monday to ditch IE8 on Tuesday.

Why is an LEC rep making excuses for the company's inability to field a viable IT product?

Sorry to sound like a complete ignoramus on this tech stuff, but if you use EasyBid with Windows 7 OS, you're just waiting on Flightline to get their fix in, right? Not holding my breath; bid submitted manually for now.

Better question though: Since we're being told we should use Chrome for working with PBS, are the computers in the pilot lounges going to be loaded with the Google software?

Shows you how out of it I am on tech--I wasn't even aware you had a choice on what browser EB uses to integrate the bids to PBS. (or do you?)
