Hey, I'm curious if any category has "Open Reserve Days" available for reserves to bid for more pay in a reserve month. I've seen a fair amount of green slips go out and yet I've seen no more reserve days available. Obviously that's fine with with me, I'm just curious if/why the company is not availing itself to this option.

So, does your category show any "Open Reserve Days" available for reserves to bid for the rest of April?

Seattle A330A----------None

I was wondering the same thing. I never saw any open days on DTW 7ER and DTW 73N doesn't have any either, and I've seen several GS or IA go out in the same day.

According to the court, assaereo said in a statement on thursday, the right to use milan as a stopover cannot be granted to a non-eu operator or a carrier from a country which is neither the port of departure nor destination, which in this case are italy and the united states.

Emirates is a direct competitor of etihad, which is in talks with alitalia for the possible purchase of a large stake in the loss-making italian carrier.

Etihad, which may appeal the decision, started to fly the malensa-new york route in october last year.

I heard that the A321 cant do transcons without a 150 kt tailwind and blocking off 70 seats and even then no alternate.

:D

That is not the case, usair flies clt-sea all the time with full 321s...I have 2 close friends that fly the bus over there, however they do stRt out at 280...now JFK-lax may be a different story entirely!

JFK-LAX is about 200 more miles and more in the jetstream than SEA-CLT. May be hard to do JFK-LAX

But - I've heard the 321 NEO can do JFK-LAX no problem.

Not if you trade it for more vacation and/or other types of paid time off to compensate.

Okay, so it MUST be within 12 hours or it is just a yellow slip to fly before noon on my first on call day.

It can be a YS or a GS for flying before 1200 on the first on-call day, regardless of how much lead time there is (FAR rest requirements notwithstanding). Because the pilot does not go on call until 0001, the notification is considered to be within 12 hours.

Forget it.

Pay banding only works when everyone makes 744 rates. Anything else means a smaller seniority list.

Your friends are probably on the 757, the A321 has a max altitude of 25,000' and a max range of 1,200 miles.

It's got two engines with the same horsepower as the MD-87.
