Yeah, I was suprised when I heard that number, that's why I don't believe I heard it 100% right. Maybe someone else who was there can corroborate. He did say that the company was dragging their feet until the GS starting flowing and they were not happy. The union's position became, "Well, we can fix it now, and it will cost you. Or, we can wait til section 6 to fix it and you can continue to pay out GS."

I don't doubt that it is a significant increase, even if that number is a bit off... I can literally have as many as I want if I'm willing to work. It's amazing.

You already on the line over there? Did you start off each day of class with that Lee Greenwood song??

Hahaha! Not quite - two more weeks until I hit the line. It's messed up man - it's like I'm with the hot chick, but not the right hot chick.

My fault though man - I don't have a great GPA. Too much fun in college, and not enough maturity, and I'm paying for it now, perhaps.

What was your GPA? Mine was 2.8!

2.6. And although I think I'm a great fit for Delta, that's just not gonna get it done. Too many well qualified guys for that crap, as it should be. The good news is, that 2.6 isn't gonna prevent me from posting underboob from time to time!

I agree, so if we (the Pilot group) are getting something for the 117 rule changes I hope its worth it. Maybe we should drag our feet on the negotiations, after all Green-slips have been flowing consistently.

Bingo. I've not been blinking an eye, not working hard, and easily hitting 100 hours every month. (strokes beard)

That shouldn't be a game killer. Not that I'm a huge proponent of jumping from one major to another, but I'm sure you'll get the call if you still want to join the double breasted van admirals.

The movement over there at AA/US has been unreal. My best friend got hired there in late 2011 and starts A330 class on monday. Granted, he'll have short call 17 days a month in PHL... Not exactly the super cooshy gig it is here, but still. I've been here for a bit over 7 years, am slotted in with NW guys that have been here for 13.5, and he's already more senior in the at US than I am at DL!

That being said, with a merger, 1+1 is never close to 2, and there is a long, difficult road to go with that merger... particularly given that it is 3 pilot groups already prone to unpleasantness. Good luck, and we're all counting on you. :)

You checking out on the bus or 190?

Ha.... I just went to put in my PBS bid, and I couldn't help but laugh at part of the font being in Comic Sans. The IT people have to intentionally be jacking things up...

I'm scratching my head wondering what it is that we would be willing to do in these negotiations that would substantially reduce the number of GS/IAs that we're currently seeing. It seems to me that this high number is due more to the FAR's less flexible rest requirements and our own staffing shortages than anything else.

Other than offering up even more short calls, what else could we do, even if we wanted to, that would make a difference?
