Heard some of the Eagle union guys contacted your management looking to make a deal. AAG was threatening to Comair II the Eagle guys; heard they went to Delta MGT and offered all 2700 pilots to staff Endeavor. They just wanted some type of seniority/longevity transfer, or a preferntial hiring program with Delta. Rumor is the Endeavor MGT asked their pilot union about it. Any of you guys have any info on that? Also heard that Donatelli told the Eagle guys that your contract requires 35% of each class to come from ALPA carriers. Is that true also?
It would be a great way to wipe out 60% of AA feed overnight if they really are working on it. The Company will fill a minimum of 35% of the aggregate of all positions in Delta pilot new-hire classes in each trailing twelve-month period (to the extent airmen are available) with ALPA-represented airmen at Delta Connection Carriers, subject to such airmen meeting the Company’s competitive hiring standards, and subject to the Company’s objectives for diversity and experience among newly hired pilots. Airmen who flow up pursuant to LOA #9 and LOA #10 count toward satisfaction of such minimum 25 percentage The Company will offer preferential interviews for employment to airmen employed by carriers (whose airmen were represented by the Association) at the time those carriers ceased operations, subject to the Company’s objectives for diversity and experience among newly hired pilots and subject to Section 1 D. 11. |

Oh...and what about those 117 negotiations?
One thing that was said in the meeting was that (I think I got the numbers right,) the historical number of GSs in Jan-Mar was 500, but for Jan-Mar 2014, we were up to 5500. That finally got the company's attention and motivated them to start talking. |
This thread is very serious. I'm gonna lighten it up a bit:

According to Donatelli at the NYC LEC meeting, they are very close to wrapping up the 117 negotiations. From what I've heard from talking to some reps is that it's kinda hard to negotiate with the company when the comapany doesn't want to negotiate.

That's a great letter from Jeff Miller's office. I'd vote for that dude. I always jump on the Calls to Action but I've never gotten a response that looked anything like that one.
