So where we getting the lift?
As many like to say on this board you have to "connect the dots" so I will add a few dots.

The new hire number has been upped again this year I have this confirmed by a someone in the new hire program. More and bigger classes coming in June.

As for where is the lift coming...think utilization rates as much as air frames. They will be pushing these rates even more this summer. So we will find the lift but that probably won't fix the DCI shortfall because of our own staffing issue. Talked to a person down in ATL who works with staffing that says we will have problems flying our own summer schedule let alone trying to pick up the

I got bypassed for an assignment with conflict about 10 months ago. Dalpa didn't fight it because scheduling never put it on my schedule despite me saying I would fly it ...and arriving at the jet before 2 of the pilots.

True.

Scheduling said they would pass me by because I couldn't get to the plane soon enough.

From that one instance, I only have 1 answer...put it on my line.

I recently had a guy in the CPO say the same thing. 3 digits of newbies a month. A big booyah if it ends up coming to fruition.

Quick perusal of the Bs shows at least one "assignment with conflict" today. Haven't checked As.

Still a month from the Memorial Day weekend.

As scambo would say---to heck with GS...GSWC are the way to go.

Every regional airline is facing a crisis when it comes to staffing. Last year they were able to survive by using every available pilot possible flying the max allowable.

This year will be a different story. You can expect cities to start losing frequency due to regional airlines not being able to staff their company.

So, the consensus is that shredding the 'performance pays' debit card is the way to go, right? I'm not losing out on any cash by ditching the card? In other words, what is this thing for?

Default IOE trip drop

Got a 4 day tomorrow that skeds tagged the first day and a half for OE. Skeds didn't drop the whole trip for me, they just changed my report to day 2 with a DH to pick up the balance of the rotation. My time card shows the origional value of the trip. Is this legal? Anybody got a contract reference either way. Thanks.
