I confirmed with one of the higher ups recently that there is a second 744 sim and it will be moved to ATL this fall.

TYG,

Thanks for the info. I thought I'd tried what you're suggesting here. I'll try again.
Thanks for helping.....................G

Moral question: If you are in a hotel with very slow internet, and they left their router on it's default password, do you go in and re-set the password to enjoy unfettered access? ... .

Admin, admin? Really?

Another question since I am on the topic, what is the funniest network name you've seen blasted through the neighborhood? After we had a recurring problem I set mine to "Your dog poops in my yard" and set the power to the maximum supported ... three neighbors commented it was funnier than hell, one neighborr got mad, but at least they keep their dog in their own yard now.

Change the SSID to "Marijuana Grow House" and then change the password, sit back, and pass the popcorn

Lived in a neighborhood with mostly all families with young kids. Had one neighbor that said someone was always hacking his password and using his wifi. He changed his network name to PornStud thinking that would help. Within a week all the moms in the neighborhood were up in arms about having someone who would name their network PornStud.

Alteon/Boeing training center in ATL put Huds in their 737 sims. We will be using those as well.

Next door neighbor is a huge Broncos fan. His wifi day after Super Bowl was "Maybe next year."

There was always a second 744 sim, it just wasn't moved.

OK, I fess up, I was just joking about 744's to ATL :D did hear the training center part though. The paranoia on 744 fleet seems to run deep. I've heard in the last week:

-moving the 744 to ATL
-closing CVG coincident with 744 going un-fenced AE so as to enjoy bump in and,
-something like 40 S. pilots on disability with seniority to fly Capt on 744 who will come back with bump in post fence.

The problem with all these is they falsely assume everyone who can will want to fly the 744 and they are all maneuvering the chess board to get on it.

There is no real need to bump into the 747. There will be plenty of retirements to open slots. The flying will stay in DTW until the fleet goes away.

What are bump in rights? I can't seem to find any reference to them anywhere in the contract.
