Steve was a jerk. Apple exists because Woz cared enough about the technology to not GAS about Steve's considerable failures as a person. At least that's been the conclusions reached by the books I've read and by chatting with Woz online (the guy is crazy accessible for who he is). |

As far as I am concerned, until he does, he has zero credibility.

The property is still for sale. last I heard you can scoop it up for a bargain basement price of 15 mil. |

I really doubt this. they are finally moving the 747#5 sim to ATL in September. Sometime in the future, they will likely run out of sim capacity if retirements and all other projections stay the course, but then you have to have the simulators to put in the building.

Heard we are looking for training resources where ever they are available.
.... Moral question: If you are in a hotel with very slow internet, and they left their router on it's default password, do you go in and re-set the password to enjoy unfettered access? ... . Admin, admin? Really? Another question since I am on the topic, what is the funniest network name you've seen blasted through the neighborhood? After we had a recurring problem I set mine to "Your dog poops in my yard" and set the power to the maximum supported ... three neighbors commented it was funnier than hell, one neighborr got mad, but at least they keep their dog in their own yard now. |

However, a cool idea a guy had in the training van as we went past back post merger but before they closed NATCO, was to referb building A into a dorm with lots to do (since it wasn't close to anything) and do initial FA training and pilot indoc there. Still a waste of space, but an out of the box idea for sure:D Party:cool::eek: Ferd |

747#5? There were only 2 747-400 simulators. Like I said its a rumor, and as they are moving the 747-400's to ATL your scenario makes more sense.
The ATL 777 cat. has been slowly migrating to DTW, it seems to be the Asia bird of choice, but they don't want to displace (and retrain) the entire ATL 777 category all at once, so they are doing it through attrition vs. displacements. They have not replaced a single retired ATL 777 Capt. since Cal left, 16 months ago, and I know at least 13 others have retired since then, with several more coming this summer. No ATL 777 A/E's though, only DTW. |
