Now they are moving equipment all over the place, you just can't tell where your next seat may end up. The ATL 777 category is slowly migrating to DTW as more ATL Capt.s retire, replaced by bids to DTW 777. Richard has said the NRT hub is moving to SEA. The guys living in the PNW must be very happy right about now, but they had to wait a long time for it. One thing is for sure though, as soon as you think you've got it figured out...they'll change it. Their 5 year plan changes every 3 weeks. "Flexibility is the key to Air Power! Now, Bend Over!" |

From our little world here on APC, it appears that the July scheds are a big from most of us. Lots of avoids disregarded and the bonus denial. Not sure if this is a summertime thing with high alvs, shortened months and lots of vacation (at least in my cat) or something more nefarious.
First of all, this isn't really a place for people that are happy with their jobs. Mostly, though, bragging about a good schedule around people who don't have the same fortune is just rude. I'm glad guys aren't doing it. |

Who would possibly come on this forum and crow about the great schedule they have?!?

I'm glad guys aren't doing it. It's not uncommon for guys to say good things about their schedule on APC, when they're good. We do have some crying nancies on here, but it seems like guys are simply relating the facts about their schedules. One new issue is the confluence of new FAR 117 domestic rules + summer ALV's + 30 day months. My takeaway is that I need to look more closely at time between trips, because PBS can build some rather long strings of trips. When you have 90+ hour months, it becomes tricky to get the days off you're shooting for, reasonable time off between trips to recover, and not trigger 100-in-28 days restrictions. This is all a learning process, guys are getting different results from their bids than did last summer, and they're talking about it. That's all. |

OK. So by your refusal to answer my question about whose contract you would rather have than ours, I have to conclude that your grenade throwing about all things dALPA and our contract is nothing but sniping. You have no real argument, therefore you snipe and throw grenades. Played out you are.
You have had ample opportunity to answer. My kids use "First-World Problems…" to nudge whiners back to reality. Would that work here? |

While I was shocked to see what a 90 hour line looks like (especially during a shortened month), I'm resigned to the fact that the summer is when we make our money. With the 100 in 28 restriction, it'll be interesting to see who will be able to fly the green slips that the company relies upon. |

It would be impossible to fly the international operation with a 4 day max. Prior to the merger there were no domestic trips longer then 4 days but the NW guys like the longer trips and lobbied to keep them.

I thought Wall Street guys loved mergers...
Cramer: Gov't stifled airline competition - CNBC Maybe Cramer called us out because he was trying to fly to see grandma on a $199 ticket! Everybody's got to complain about something. |

Or, as one guy said, "Call in sick for your highest time trip, then you can GS anything you want." I think a whole bunch of other guys have figured that out, thus the company wants to crack down on sick calls, which I think will only increase as summer goes on. |

How DARE they make money!!:rolleyes: (After how many years of losing how many Billions??) Stand by for more of that, as soon as the Q2 earnings are announced. I expect they will want the industry re-regulated, so they can still buy $199 tickets. Funny, I never hear the talking heads talking about BP making $10 Billion per quarter, even after dumping a zillion gallons of crude into the gulf. Watch their earnings skyrocket now, with the Iraq thing driving oil prices up. But you won't hear the morons on TV crying to regulate that industry. |
