Great story, Timbo!

Travelnet question: Do passriders (specifically buddies) who get on the first leg of two still have higher priority on leg 2 or did that go away? (IOW, do they sill compete to get on as an S4 at a hub city or do they have elevated priority on leg 2?)

Timbo, I'm going to use your post for a shameless plug. The Greeter Committee for council 44 is always looking for volunteers to help meet our retiring pilots on their last flight. It's very rewarding to be able present our pilots with their retirement picture and pin. Sometimes there is even some cake to be had!! PM me if you are interested in becoming a member of the committee.

I second, I think Timbo would be perfect for that job.:rolleyes:

That went away for all pass riders. Each leg stands on it's own even if it's a through flight.

When did that start? Problematic at best.

How bout this? Without any changes to my bid award starting the end of June.

W= a work day
O= off day

WWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW OO WWWWW

That's domestic flying 19 straight days. (24 out of 26). Sure there are 30 hour layovers in places like Huntsville and a red eye. Oh and some 0625 reports in ATL.

I wouldn't believe this would EVER, EVER be a possibility

No difference between the commuters and majors anymore. I was shocked to see how many days per month the avg narrowbody domestic pilot works in July. Wait until they start cancelling vacation over the summer months due to not enough crews... Work to FAR and verify you're sick. Got us right where they want us, we lost the war.

This better not become the norm. I see lots of sick calls. This is one of the first times it has not honored my basic bid of no less than 72 hours off between trips. The higher the ALV the lower the spread should be. IE: 84 ALV= + or - 2. 72 ALV = + or - 10.

Anyone done BCN on vacation recently?

I found a note on mycrewguide saying we can get the crew hotel for 76 euro/night, but that was about a year ago...Anyone done this recently? What's the mechanism to book at this rate? Their website starts at 122/night.

Any other recommendations for the area? We're going to be flying in with 2 young kids (under 6) and then training over to France to meet some friends. I need a few ideas of how to entertain everyone for a few days in BCN - I'm thinking the beach but have never been over there.
