The "street" guidance is a loss of 130 million.

Of course, if I did "choose" to loose my house then I could move to my base and not commute - but I'm junior and with the upcoming Airbus for MD swap I would probably have to move again to not be a commuter. Some "choice" eh?

Very well put! My situation is not too different from yours--

Commuting is a choice, but it's a choice that the company has forced upon many of us.

They will use these to completely replace the remaining Midwest pilots. Its disgusting, replacement jets/jobs/pilots

I'm ignorant on all of this regional buyouts etc. Can anyone explain in simple terms, what is Republic's end game? Are they trying to become the only regional company out there? Or are they trying to grow so big by aquiring everyone that they can become a stand alone company? Or other?

I think they are trying to go it alone seeing that their regional FFD contracts are probably not going to be as profitable as before. Next year Delta has the ability to cancel a significant amount of RAH's DAL flying.

Well I certainly don't want to wish anything onto another pilot group, but, I seriously hope DAL starts to reign in the DCI flying. I do not believe that it is cheaper to farm out that flying to them. You end up paying for multiple CEOs, training, different aircraft, maintenance teams ... all of which could be consolidated.
