A) I am surprised, shocked, confused, when we're not 98+12=110 (full). We seem to always be full.

B) We are doing some RJ routes, but, we are doing a lot of the same routes I did on the MD-88 and I don't remember being empty on the 149 seat MD-88 while doing them.
Such as, ATL-IAH/HOU/EWR/SAV/ORD/JAN/EWR/BNA/EWR/JAN/CLT/EWR/TYS/EWR/CHS/SAV/HSV/EWR/MYR/CLE/EWR/PIT/EWR/LEX/JAN.
Did I by chance mention EWR?

Just one mans observation though.

Just curious. What did you do on the rest of your rotation?

Why would the company expand 76 seaters when clearly the loads show a larger A/C is required? TYS added four 717's and is still under served.

It appears they agree with you. It does not look like they are going to use all the airframes allowed and they are looking for more 717's. Keep in mind however that full does not always mean profitable. The software adjusts ticket pricing to basically fill the aircraft. Without knowing the yield on a route load is not a good indication of profit.

Delta Air Lines loses bid to call itself 'most trusted airline' - Los Angeles Times

Here is what I don't understand. It's clear you want to be at war with management yet you seem to worship SWAPA who were the pioneers of the concept of working with management. DALPA tries for a new model somewhat based on SWAPA and produces a result that puts us at the top of the industry not long after being in chapter 11. Not a single airline in the last 15 years taking your approach has accomplished much of anything. Once again I have to go with reality and results. I want the most money and best quality of life I can get within the realities of working under the RLA. What we are doing has produced a remarkable result.

Oh, you know what it is. He's bitter. Even though his participation in the cuts and losses pales to yours, he feels that he is OWED something. But the problem is that he STILL cannot come up with anybody in this entire industry that has fared better overall than we have. So, he has to save face. I think he figures that if he keeps whining and complaining, and shooting for the destruction of dALPA, at some point, there could be a pendulum that will swin his way. Kind of like the pathetic souls you see pulling levers in Vegas. "My luck HAS to change sometime... right"?

That was kind of strange. Isn't saying you are the most trusted airline kind of like saying you are the best hockey player in all of Ethiopia?

Briefly:

1) I never predicted massive job loss. You, on the other hand, kept "spewing" about 300 early outs leading up to C12. How did that work out?

2) the "Reality" is that in this age of record profits for the company, you constantly attempt to tell us we shouldn't strive to reap rewards commensurate with the company's success.

3) granting concession after concession with record profitability doesn't square with my definition of a "remarkable result."

Your analysis is complete garbage. . Kindly stick to posting facts and we're all much better off.

Do any of you guys/gals still use the Alpa insurance? I signed up for some of it when I was a new-hire and just keep paying the bill. Is any of it really worth it?
