If it is JF, I can tell you that -
-- He's a great guy to talk to in person -- He's very smart and connected to smart people -- He never kisses and tells who those real smart people are -- He is right A LOT more often than he's wrong So, if it's him, he will be a great contributor, even if he does have a taste for pastry. I've wonder the same about Purple for awhile, I've thought he may actually be a dispatcher but Carl vouches for him........ Ferd Thanks for the comment. Good to see you frequent the board every once in a while. (We all miss the F-16 stories.) :) I agree it might be a stretch to accuse Jerry of not using his real name, based on no-reply to a PM. :o BTW, I met Bucking Bar's former ASA (LCA) colleague last week. Bottom line: It's a small community and we all want what's best for our group & hopefully the industry to come. This board is an easy source to vent when it's still to early to drink Scotch. ;) I'll vouch for Purple being "real" too. His message is sometimes dark, but I have to think his heart is in the right place. Cheers, GJ |

How long has PD been on the property to have been hurt so badly? It might convince me to give his argument some credence if I knew he wasn't a 2008 hire or something like that..... |

So then you are placing a lower value on the lives of a 717 than on those of a 777... thanks. Ya know.. responsibility and all that rot....
I didn't put a lower value on anything or person. There's a big difference between 100 pax and 300 pax. On a per-flight basis, I'd say the 777 captain has more responsibility than the 717 captain, both in terms of lives and assets at risk. Oh yea... How many lives do the 717 and 777 each have? Is there another Supreme Court opinion coming down soon? Rot that... |

Thanks again GJ & DD!
Be sure to walk a few blocks up to Butte aux Calais for a non-touristy happy hour. Nothing worse than paying retail for a beer/wine! Dito for Rue Mouffetard. |

I enjoy PDs rants wholeheartedly. (I also enjoy it when he goes off the deep end because the follow ups are so entertaining) It doesn't matter if he's new or not. He speaks the truth as he sees it. Why would anyone want him to do anything less? T, The DPA is done, over, kaput. Get over it. It is far more annoying to read your anti DPA belittling (donuts, pastry, whatever). You aren't the only dal pilot with a valid viewpoint, vote or position. |
Not good.

Any fellow Mad Dogians done the QRO maintenance run? Any gouge? Inquiring minds and all...adios...

When a Delta pilot says management is just misleading the shareholders and is was really a big win for the pilots, that is nonsense. Mike Campbell makes millions and millions at his Delta job, there is no way he would put that at risk for a second. Let's move on. Time to come together for a historic C2015 as promised by the MEC. Let's focus 100% on gains and ensure no pilot tries to sell us out by making further concessions on profit sharing and pay banding. Together united 100% we will make the gains we so richly deserve. Cost neutral in what regard? Overall Delta costs? Or PWA costs? Can you prove that he specifically meant that the current PWA cost the exact same or less than the previous PWA? The phrase "The new pilot PWA is cost neutral" is not proof of what you claim. The 737-900ERs were announced as a capacity neutral transaction. Have the 737-900ERs been swapped out one for one with mainline airplanes? Has the mainline fleet grown since the merger and the 737-900ER announcement? |

Come on Jerry, you are an intelligent guy. To keep saying this, which you know is both incorrect vis a vis the pilots, and not an accurate quote to begin with really makes you look idiotic. Nobody that is really paying any attention to what is going on is going to pay any heed to your continued beating of this mute drum. Those that do are already helping you to carry Caplinger's water, so why don't you just take it back to the doughnut forum. If you choose to continue wasting your time in this manner, have at it, but you really look foolish in the process.....
Carry on soldier boy. By the way, when is the vote? My sole focus is C2015. Since you are so incredibly arrogant, I will pose the following questions for everyone to ponder. Was the hacker on flight pay loss? Was the hacker alone in the hotel room? Was the hacker a member of a DALPA committee? Was the hotel room paid for by ALPA? Did any DLAPA leader have knowledge of the hacking and if so, when? If any these answers turn out to be yes, are all the harmful attacks on Tim Caplinger and the DPA harmful to the DPA campaign? Will the damages for the harm to the DPA result in a large settlement if DPA files a civil suit? Back to C2015 PROFIT SHARING OFF THE TABLE NO PAY BANDING |
