Let just be sure to remember that American and UAL are both concessionary bankruptcy contracts like ours.

We are no longer bankrupt. In fact Delta makes so much money they don't know what to do with it so they are shrugging their shoulders and returning billions to the shareholders.

Our executives compensation is up 300% to 700% since bankruptcy.

We need to restore our concessions. More vacation, higher value of vacation and training day, increase per diem at least $1, huge improvements to our catastrophic only medical, increased DC, tighter international scope with immediate penalties and pay rates that take into account inflation. 20% plus date of signing.

Here's the only point of undeniable fact for you to remember. Your behavior, slowplay's, hazzard's and the rest was so appaling, you were thrown out of your positions on the MEC administration.

Many (including me) will work to ensure that as few of you as possible ever return to union work.
It's pretty standard for a rebel group to try and poison the existing system and try and convince others that the existing organization is illegitimate. Also to claim that any election (ie, C2012 vote) didn't show the "will of the people".

If not, it's basically expensive toilet paper. Paid for by us.

But it will look slick.

What possible benefit comes from factoring historical inflation into a comparison of current hourly rates?

And COLA is meaningless - you only use it when you are happy with what you have, and wish to keep your current standard of living.

That sort of hinders the whole motive of negotiating for better hourly rates, n'est-ce pas?

*AMR-APA Agreement Supplement A (an LOA) specifies that AA will negotiate an "Industry Comparable Pay Rate Adjustment" to take effect as of Jan. 1 2016. It's a weighted average of UAL and DAL rates.
As of Jan. 1, 2017 (21 months into DAL negotiations) the AA 330 pay rate will be approximately: $266.82

AA has no PS, in 2017 the effective DAL A330 rate with a 10% PS payout will be $280.81. [B]That is still $14.00 more than .
Time out, lets compare apples to apples. We are just comparing hourly book rates. It is complete BS to start throwing some Profit Sharing in to our book rates to make them look inflated.

Profit sharing may be part of our compensation, but it is not part of our hourly rates, and is not guaranteed to be anything.

And you must be Ringo. Look, darling, Johnny Ringo. The deadliest pistoleer since Wild Bill, they say. What do you think, darling? Should I hate him?

I gotta agree with you there. You can show PS in anything about contract history, but it shouldn't be used in projections.

You asking another question of someone in the hallway is understandable, but this ditzy TV lady for MSNBC is on national TV. What did she do wrong? Again, she asked more questions. It's so obvious what she did wrong it begs the question--why are you so forgiving of her? Had she been on Fox you'd be laughing at how dumb she was to keep the conversation going. I would be too, but for some reason since it's on that WH propaganda channel you're making excuses. I just find your reaction somewhat entertaining and interesting because it's an example of how people's biases affect their reactions. What did she have to do before it got to the point you'd find her performance embarrassing? Did she have to go the point of asking, "Do you have any idea how much flatus was expelled from Mr. Stern's anus, and at what speeds it reached to have such a devastating effect on the 747?" As for everything else you said, blah blah blah...I told you what she did wrong and the rest of what I wrote related to my trying to understand the reaction of an American male presumably of average or higher intelligence who for some reason fails to see what is before him in a video. This is a perfect example of why prosecutors are sometimes suspicious of eye witness accounts. The human mind is a amazing and interesting subject.
What's funny is that you THINK I am being biased. I am not. I told you I would have defended anyone who did that. As, I pointed out, I do it, too. Being on national TV, doesn't matter. I would understand why anyone would try to continue that interview. She asked one question after the initial "Howard Stern" reply, then indicated she didn't hear him afterwards.

If you really think that that one extra question is indicative of being ditzy, I would caution you not to employ that belief in real life.

My experience has taught me that there is never anything wrong with one extra question, no matter where you are.

What it looked like to me was that she was doing the standard talking head thing- just a bunch of words somewhat pre-programmed and not really listening. No matter the combination of letters, all the news agencies just go hog wild in this stuff and the talking heads show their true mindless colors.

Guess this illustrates my respect of the drive by 24-hour news agencies.

- Why did DALPA engage in a full-throttle PR campaign to push C12?
- Why was there no good faith effort to present the facts--instead, we got a one-sided FUD campaign to bully us into voting "yes?"
- Why did the unelected bureaucrats distort, misrepresent, and equivocate its contents? Remember, ALV+15 was only for international categories [let's ask the NB guys this summer about that]. No way the company would take advantage of the sick verification loophole. We need to pass this to get 717s! I could go on (and I will if we get set up again).
- Why was DALPA so eager to conform to the company's rushed timeline?

When "our" "union" is too busy helping the company to give its constituents an honest effort, you can bet they will hear about it--now, and in the future.
