No. You're not the only one uncomfortable with that. I've often wondered if a far leftist mentality isn't contributing to what we've seen with DALPA over the past 10 years.

I don't think AlfaRomeo's views are "fringe leftism," at all. Thoughtful, researched, nuanced? Yes.
Not your typical black-and-white, "love it or leave it," bumpersticker jingos. |

I'll be your huckleberry. I'll call your service and your time at USAFA and raise you one. Carl is correct. Me thinks you watch way too much MSNBC and rely on the HuffPo for your insight.
If the mods allow, give me a go. |

Well that's easy, the Israelis have all the guns so it's their land. The Israelis have the same rights to that land as the Shawnee Indians have the rights to the land I own. I have the guns on my side also so it's still my house. You can be damn sure that if the Chinese gave money and guns to the Shawnee so they could come take my land and force me to live in a tent in some other country, it would be a cold day in hell before I quit trying to get home. That is the other side of the coin and that is how many Palestinians view their situation; the Israelis have better lobbyists in the US Congress so they get the land.
The roots of the nation of Israel were born in the Palestinian Mandate of 1947. The Jews (and I'm not one) began slowly buying up swampland and lands that the Ottoman Empire didn't want in the late 1800s. The Palestinian Mandate was a UN-directed cut out of land following WWII offering Jews their traditional homeland. The Arabs that were "displaced" were offered the right to remain in Israel or migrate to the newly created nations such as Syria, Jordan and Lebanon. Those newly created nations chose to reject their fellow Muslims. Absolutely nothing to do with guns. Nothing. |

If the mods allow, give me a go. I do read about one or two books a week and I try to vary the content from throw away detective stories (jack reacher-ist) to science fiction to biography to religion to history to philosophy to design and many other subjects. That of course is the major problem with our country nowadays. People have walled themselves off into little information bubbles and anyone that lives outside your little bubble is automatically cast into some other narrow little category that makes it easy to pigeon hole their thoughts. I voted for Republicans and Democrats and refuse to wall myself off into some little information bubble to define my thought processes. Free your mind from Roger Ailes, you might find a lot of other perspectives out there. You don't have to listen to the cute blondes read from their teleprompter. There is a lot of information out there if you look for it. |

My god, this is like a witch hunt. Little people with little minds are threatened by new information. You guys should look at these last few pages. Maybe we should get Senator McCarthy back and conduct some hearings. Maybe I am really a Communist in disguise. Argue the facts, if you have any. Or if you don't have any facts, fall back on the witch hunts. Quite disgusting behavior, you should be ashamed.
Back to DAL stuff my friend. |

Well I don't have cable so I don't watch MSNBC, nor would I watch MSNBC if I had cable. It is full of dreck partisanship with no thought or effort behind their thinking. Same with Fox News only Fox News is much better at their propaganda, MSNBC is clunky and clumsy.

Perhaps you should take a breath, and go re-read Buzzpat's post at 5:53, and your post right after that. |
