Nerds thoughts. The SEC is not as good as they and there fans claim. The big 10 is not as bad as all of us thought. And finally, the best team in the country didn't get a chance to prove it.

TCU got robbed. There needs to be an eight team playoff - Only way to make it fair.

Of the four teams in the playoff, the only one that didn't deserve to be there was the undefeated reigning National Champs. It would be impossible for the committee to put TCU in there ahead of FSU. Six teams, the top 5 power conference winners plus one at large team selected by the committee. Bye week for the top two. But to make it really work the conferences need to play each other like the NFL does with divisions. 10 regular season games, 8 conference games, one creampuff for homecoming and one of the other major conference teams.

OSU has the formula to beat Oregon. Dominant front 4 and a good running game for ball control. But I hate Urban Meyer so go Ducks!

Are we still expecting a MOAB today?

PS: AdBlocker works great, thanks!

Well here's the first bullet point in the first email from the new ALPA president:

Inadequate pay and benefits in the fee-for-departure segment of the industry.

Since there is no mention of inadequate pay and benefits at the majors, once again we see that ALPA national thinks the pay and benefits for major pilots is currently adequate. Perfectly in keeping with Moak's previous statement about our mature contracts and big changes not being "in the cards."

The Big 12 needs to have a championship game. That would've probably given them a chance to get in over OSU. They don't have one because programs bolted the conference thanks to some heavy handedness by one program and the conference.

The irony is both OU and Texas have said that a conference title game hurts the chances of the conference to get into the BCS and Playoffs. They were proven wrong and it was wrong to try to skate by in the first place.

So if TCU wants to blame anyone, blame UT.

Several ways to look at it. It's possible the SEC wasnt that good but it's also possible, especially with the SEC West, that in a game of attrition they destroyed themselves in conference play. The key is to be the lone good team in a bad conference again and each conference has one or two very good teams.

The cure will be when you only have 4 conferences and getting to the big game is not determined subjectively but by conference wins. That's probably coming but about that time I think you'll also see football falling from favor. It is just a life altering brutal sport.
