Glad to see they added another 15 slots to SEA 73N. On the off chance I'm able to get the SEA position, am I able to swap from my NYC to ATL 717 while I wait to convert? I'm not sure how I could input that into iCrew. If I don't get SEA then it is a nonissue since 717B to ATL is my #2 pick and I'll just get it when I get it :).

Sorry to be Debby Downer. But, this scenario repeats itself across all of the categories. Even the 73N in SEA is dependent upon SLC and CVG bidding into it.

RE: MOAB
You need to read the details. It looks good until you realize that it's all based on pilots from another base bidding out and going to another. Some growth, yes. But nowhere near what it looks like at first glance. This is NOT the MOAB. It's moving the deck chairs on the Titanic. The 777 is a perfect example. 25 ATL CA positions. 10 747 displacements. 10 positions dependent upon 10 DTW 777 CA bidding to ATL, otherwise the positions don't exist. That leaves 5 new slots. Sorry to be Debby Downer. But, this scenario repeats itself across all of the categories. Even the 73N in SEA is dependent upon SLC and CVG bidding into it. I'm a little disappointed. But, I'm married and I'm used to it. These contingent bids are a new way to show us what they are doing. So if a SLC 73N A guy bids NYC 330A do they consider that a contingent guy that bid out or does he have to bid SEA 73NA to count as one of the contingent bids? |

You will get one or the other not both. Looks like you are stuck in NYC if you want to bid the 73 into SEA until your training |

That is what I did. So let's make the (big) assumption that I get SEA 73N with a June conversion. I am currently qualified on the 717, if ATL 717 opens before then will I be moved to ATL?

Have you bid and been awarded ATL 717 on a previous bid and are waiting to be converted to ATL? If not you won't go to ATL if you get SEA 73N, you will stay in NYC until they sent you to 73N school.

Put SEA 73N B as first then put ATL717B second

EDIT: I'm ignorant here, can you help me out? Are you saying there really aren't 40 spots available in SEA on the 73N? Or that some of those slots must be filled by existing SLC/CVG 73N guys? |

I'm pointing out that the numbers posted on the AE are not all growth. Some are just shuffling. |

They will award 25 slots in SEA and up to 15 more if 15 guys bid out of SLC and CVG 73N categories.
