Does the white slip with conflict cause the computer to not look at it at all? Thanks in advance.
You can only do that if the 3-day (in your example) started in month two and the 4-day began at the end of month one.

Otherwise as another poster just stated, you need to use the swap with the pot function.

Anyone know how it works if you get a spill GS trip where you are reserve the current month and regular the next month?

Get your days in the current month back as PB days and then 2x pay for spill credit?

Is there a way to get screwed here?

You are pretty much correct. In your scenario I think you are OK.

How you can get "hosed," so to speak, if there is such a think as getting hosed on a GS, is when you spill from a line with a month to a line with reserve.

All trip credit is paid on the last day of the trip. So if you have a 4 day with lots of credit on the front end it will all be paid as single credit above the guarantee vice 2X pay in the first month.

And into vacation, MLOA, etc. Bear in mind that Crew Tracking only knows the rotation you're currently flying. They neither know nor care what you have coming up next. All of that info belongs to Crew Scheduling.

If you are being rerouted into a hard non-fly day, you may, if you wish, so inform Crew Scheduling of the conflict, at which point they will be tasked to "make every reasonable effort to resolve" such a conflict. (23 L. 7.) In other words, if they can find another pilot to fly your reroute and get you back to base in time, they are required to do so.

OTOH, being rerouted into a vacation day(s) can be a pretty good deal, depending upon the circumstance. (7 F. 8.)

And that's only if you happen to have X-days scheduled at the beginning of the reserve month. Otherwise, the carry in value goes against your guarantee.

Question: If the CA is going to get a theatre qual, does one of the FOs get released? If so, does the CA release the FO? And is it the FO on the CAs rotation or the senior FO?

Be company executive -> take some of huge company cash pile, invest in low performing codeshare airline -> add free capacity to that airline at the expensive of your own -> watch as low performing carrier produces record profits -> investors flood codeshare carrier with cash -> book stock gains in codeshare company as profits in your own company -> watch as your own stock increases -> sell shares in your own company -> profits!!!

As I understand it, it depends upon which FO has been into the theater for which the Captain is being qualified. Anyone who's not been there has historically been required to remain on the trip. If both FO's have been there, then the senior one is released by Crew Scheduling upon the LCP's recommendation.

This deserves it's own thread, and subsequent callouts. I wish the media reported on this kind of thing.
