Still no projected training for the AE. Usually takes 7-10 days right? We are at about 11.

It took some getting used to but I like the progressive. They used to make me a bit queasy walking in places with aisles like a grocery store. You also have to get used to walking in them. The key for me was getting the exact distance I needed for close vision (turned out to be the arm length to my fingertip) which you can measure from your normal seat position in the cockpit.

Got mine at the Wal Mart eye care place (the Davis vision worked if you have that)

Usually 3 weeks. I'd add a few days after the computer disaster in ATL.

Yeah, I just couldn't get used to them. Made me feel queasy wearing them. I do the bifocal to arms length maybe a little shorter too.

I've been out for awhile. Can we do our training USB sticks on the tablets yet or is the Surface still useless for training?

Ferd149 08-09-2016 05:13 PM

There are interesting trips in another base during my reserve days. No such thing as an out of base yellow slip, so if I want to green slip one is it an out of base green or a green slip with conflict (the reserve days)?

Hi Ferd! If you want to GS in a different base over X days, it's an out of base greenslip.
