Park at the Hilton hotel across the street (MacArthur and Douglas) and walk/ride the bus to the terminal. 10 min walk. Details are in the LAX base section of dlnet.

Not sure what you mean. The PCS run will not allow a WS to be added to a schedule if it violates FARs. If the trip then later changes by reroute or over block, I don't think it matters if it was a white slip, or a swap with the pot, or swap board pickup.

Could you direct me to a reference?

He can't. He's making stuff up again.

Or he means if you pick up a trip during the PBS bid awarding that creates a conflict the next month they will drop a trip unpaid during the award process and you could get a line worth like 40-50 hours.

Bottom line if you WS something but THEN over block/ reroute or cant get rest, the conflicting trip gets dropped with pay.

I think what he means is there is a option on the WS template that says something like: if this causes an FAR conflict, award the WS and drop the conflicting trip. (It's possible this option is only for carryover trips. Not sure) I did this when I picked up a carryover trip from last month into this one. It caused a 100 in 672 conflict. I just white slipped the same trip that left a couple days later and was not a conflict.

You can white slip any trip you want in the current month if you have the pickup without regard to pickup limits or FAR conflicts it will create in the following month. You can even have a direct overlap on the trips and still get the WS.
It's a easy and excellent way to get the 4th of July off if you are a bottom feeding line holder. Have a trip flying 2-5 Jul, pick up a trip flying 1-2 July and you have the Holiday off and the company can't deny it.
Trips dropped in that situation are unpaid.

Sailing speaks the truth. I used this technique every month when I was on the 88. It was required knowledge if you participated in the drop your schedule, WS/GS mafia game

I always bid for a 4 or 5 day trip the first day of the bid period having no intentions of flying it

Is reserve coverage required for the non-overlap days that drop? Using SF's example, if I have a 2-5 July trip and I WS a 1-2 July trip. For that to go through do I require blue days on the 3-5th?

The company can't deny the prior month WS for any reason as long as it's within your pickup limit for the month the trip originates. Reserve coverage can be negative 20 and it does not matter. If you pick a trip up on the last day of the bid period since credit is accounted for at the end of the trip you might need as little as two hours of pickup available.
