Actually, I believe the following is a 117 requirement for 3-pilot breaks—
PF for landing must have a 2:00+ break in 2nd half of FDP (not flight) PM for landing must have 1:30+ break sometime during flight (not FDP) Short oceanic crossings (BOS-CDG, JFK-LHR) make the PF requirement impossible to achieve using equal breaks. Giving the PF for landing a 2hr break (in 2nd half of FDP) and the PM a 90min break leaving the RP only a 80min break may seem bogus, but NOT doing it that way is an INTENTIONAL VIOLATION OF AN FAR. Just sayin’ . Like I said I would have to dig a bit more to see if there is some other caveat. |

Not necessarily an intentional violation but I would have to dig a bit. In your JFK-LHR example that is not a flight that requires a 3 man crew. So I don’t know that the break rules apply there. 3 man Crew by FAR117 are required on flights over 9 hours so it’s not an issue to get equal breaks over 2 hours. On flights under the FAR117 limit I don’t know that the rule applies.

Through a few XX day swaps, unused short call credits, and flying I was able to get into a position where it was highly unlikely I'd be used again for the month. Then they scheduled me for a line check on the last day of the month on a RES day. I didn't volunteer and I wasn't needed to cover a trip, yet there's now a trip on my line dedicated to the line check. When I looked at my time card they uselessly applied it to my RES guarantee. Shouldn't that be assignment pay?

If they can’t check you on a regular rotation they are allowed to create a special rotation for the purpose of the check. No special pay is due. It’s 23S.15
Follow-up question, do RES guys who have to get their bounces in the sim due to currency get paid additionally for their time or is it the same situation? |

Pretty sure that Lineholders get 4 hr/day for the RCY event + a travel day if you're not ATL based. Reserves get the same IF they are going on their days off, but they will try to schedule folks on their on call days, so you get the difference between a 4 hr training day and the reserve prorated share for that day of on call (Use John Bells spreadsheet to figure that out exactly). There are PWA requirements for when you have to submit availability, which you'll get an icrew reminder for. hth. |

Does anyone know if an out of base greenslip counts against your in base green slip priority?
Ie if I pick up an out of base greenslip and then pick up an in base greenslip later would that be considered #2 for seniority reasons? |

Out of base is out of base for counting purposes. It doesn’t matter which base, just that it’s not your own. In base are counted using #G1, #G2...etc that you’re used to seeing. You are tracked in each assignment type separately, resetting at the beginning of a new bid period. Different letter, different counting silo. |
