I completely forgot that was an option. It was wonderful at the AA regional I worked for. Especially convenient for when you wanted to be a nice guy and offer to take jump to get more non revs on. Then when you weren’t used you sat in a decent seat and boarded early with your bags and with people you were traveling with.

NEVER HAPPEN. That would be too easy. It would allow you to exercise your seniority without playing games?! THEN They could even AUTOMATICALLY give you the best seat available awarded by your seniority when you DH around domestically. That way when I forget to improve my company assigned last row, non-reclining, middle seat on 757-3 because I'm exhausted from a 7 day trip with 30+ yrs..... I won't walk past an economy comfort full of DL and Connection Pilots and FAs none of whom are 30 yrs old. After being badgered by the Capt and Gate agent to ride the jumpseat... Because of course they couldn't ask the other 9 people? True story. OFG

Question: Reserve month to Line month. I have the last two days of July on reserve and a trip that starts on the 2nd of August. Can I yellow slip a 4 day trip, and get that trip in August to drop? Also, will I receive flight hours and credit for August for the flying done on the 1st and the 2nd from the trip I yellow slipped?
Thx, Humboldt |

But I am pretty sure CS will see the August trip and not give you the trip. |

This is a violation of company policy as well as listing for multiple jumpseats. If you encounter a multiple jumpseat listing call the pilot and ask which one he really wants. If he refuses to cancel one call the CPSC and they will cancel whichever one you want and book you.

I see all the time guys list non rev for one flight and jumpseat for the next one. Then it seems like they want me to tell them how nice they are when they get on their first flight and cancel the jumpseat for their second flight so I can have it. I don’t know of any way to see this in advance and call them on it. So I just say thanks a lot and take their leftovers.
Non rev list on multiple flights same city pair Non rev list and Jumpseat list on the same flight Multiple Jumpseat listings on same city pairs. This would include listing on one in Lga and one in Jfk |

This is actually legal to do. What you can’t do:

Ya dude, don’t do this. It’s bad karma. Make a decision and accept the consequences like a big boy.

I thought the automation would prevent this anyway? Is that not the case?

Non rev list and Jumpseat list on the same flight By listing for both, commuters have a better idea who is and is not JS eligible to be see the actual chances of getting on. Same goes for FAs. |
