Yes, they can do that. It’s a delayed flight. If it arrives back after 2AM you are due a additional 5:15 for the trip. Yo may also be due compensation for the violated X day. I am sure some of the reserves on here can provide more detail.

0130 block in is the trigger, not 0200, just to be clear. Had that happen twice in the last 6 months.

But this assumes one could program the IAF and a holding procedure in the container. |

According to ALPA the only GS a LC pilot can get under that provision is one that reports between 10 and 12 hours from the assignment. He sounded very confident in his answer but it's most definitely not what the contract states. Can anybody verify that FAR117 has a provision that trumps this part of the contract?
ALPA is correct. You have to have 10 hours of rest before starting a FDP. Since you are not at rest when on long call, the min report time to a trip assigned when on LC is 10 hours. If the report time is 12 hours or more they would just give you a regular reserve assignment. |

Not so sure about that. I️ got awarded a GS that reported a few hours before a SC I️ had been assigned. Got the call while in my SC ‘rest’ period.
It must have been a report time of 10 hours after you were released from LC to rest. Otherwise you weren’t legal to start the the FDP. |
