Thanks Sailingfun! The formatting was different than I remember.

Last week I got inversely assigned to a 3 day Beijing trip and it paid quite a bit more than I thought it would. I knew the answer was in there somewhere. We ended up being on duty, for pay purposes, for the entire trip.

Denny

That is going to make for one hell of a check!

I had a Beijing trip where they changed it to a 16 hour layover after canceling the night prior and they kept us on it instead of running through the coverage ladder...ended up getting back the same time for 88 hours of pay, plus the guys that should have been assigned it were paid

That痴 awesome! This one was an equipment substitution from 7er to a330. We had to cover the flight out too and I知 guessing we were the only 330 crew in China.

I would run that rotation through the contract admin guys at DALPA. If the rotation was constructed illegally they will owe you assignment pay for the trip. It gets complicated since it already was a GS but you may be due more. Perhaps a lot more as in the 29 doubled.

Agree, mine was a 23:30 that turned into like 32 hours with duty from the first day showing up, so it was like 32 for rotation + 32 for what we actually flew + 23:30 for original guarantee.

I知 fuzzy on how it could be illegally constructed. We were given a 1 hour report and the actual layover was 17:32. We were 6 mu on the first leg. Yes, we had less than 18 hrs but well over the min time in the contract.

I guess I知 wondering how a rotation can be illegally constructed?

Your duty period going over exceeded 13 hours. That requires a minimum scheduled layover of 18 hours. They can reduce the report time but for contractual purpose must use 90 minutes.
