Anyone notice the glaring error on the statistics for your puzzle piece from ship 6305?

"parked Jan 2006...served 17 years."

Wait... so that would mean it never wore the Delta livery since that was 2.5 years pre-merger?? I thought about it and remember that we definitely flew all 16 whales post merger up until their parking later on.

Sure enough... she made it at least through October 2016.

47% of statistics are made up on the spot! Distributed to 70,000 people! :D

Hey, does icrew register an awarded APD as a day off for “grouping requirement” purposes?
Example ......7 days on call...apd is on day 4..... Can I now PD day 6 and 7?
Thanks!

I was on a commuter flight last week and a flt att told me that she is "from Mexico and is on the speaker list, but never gets to fly there anymore because Delta gave all Mexico flights to AeroMexico".

Obviously very emotional, how much is true?

Basically none of it. We dropped I think GDL from ATL and added LAX to Mexico City. I think GDL was seasonal. Contractually our Mexico flying can’t be reduced. With the current company/MEC relationship I doubt you will see any increase. I suspect 100% of new flying will go to AeroMexico.

They can have GDL....just sayin. ;):D

Note the news from American today. Oil prices are starting to hit home.

The increase in jet fuel costs is making some marginal flights less profitable. American said it will further trim previous plans to increase flying in the third and fourth quarters. That could help allay investors' fears that American and other airlines are expanding faster than the growth in travel demand, which is preventing them from raising fares to offset fuel prices.
The airline also announced that it will delay the delivery of 22 Airbus jets to reduce capital spending in 2019 through 2021 by $1.2 billion.

Question for Widebody people. If you get an international OAL jumpseater, any idea where they get put in the cabin? Who makes that call: Capt? Lead Purser? Gate?

Any recommendations for protocol? Asking for an OAL friend.

I rarely see OAL jumpseaters on international but I believe the gate agent puts them in coach. The Captain might exercise some discretion of the Purser is amenable, but that would be assuming there are empty D1 seats.. which is r-a-r-e these days.

It also looks like they are deferring some of their aircraft orders... (from Twitter, click for bigger).
