Airline Pilot Central Forums - Any "Latest & Greatest" about Delta?

So we're already parking/canabalizng 717's? Or was this one damaged or something? If we needed parts so bad we had to park one, seems like we'll need to park more soon for the same reason.

There were at least two rotations built to fly 717s to long term storage. I believe there are at Mather, McClellan somewhere in that area.

Best guess I've heard is storing them to delay or avoid very expensive overhaul. Think they are doing something similar with the MD90s
