Ignore, ignore, ignore.

Over.

Just responding to being called irrational.

This is kind of funny. Just because I don't agree DALPA's position during SLI was middle of the road, I'm an irrational bomb thrower. It's kind of like being called a racist if you don't like the government take over of health care. Oh well...Happy New Years.

DAL to Guam?

Check this out: www.kuam.com/global/story.asp?s=11466859

This was a story from a local news outlet in Guam (Nov. 2009). Undisclosed carrier to begin non-stop flights from the GUM to the US. Also explores the possibility of Asian traffic connecting via Guam. I bet it is DAL!:)

I've heard of several other grievances as well... up to and including North guys suing to be award DTW 777 since it's "replacing" 744 flying. Ugh.

Ever hear of "tit for tat"? They should be careful what they sue for. If the beloved 744 comes down here and they win, I will have 744 on my bid preferences as well as 4000 other FOs and Capts in ATL. They should just relax and enjoy the surf off the upcoming tsunami.

Schwanker... this isn't Flightinfo. Tone it down a tad and play nice. :)

Agreed! They were doing that my dad's entire career there... "Ninjas" was a well known term in our household. :)

Well, no, you're not "just responding". You're putting fuel on the fire, and then throwing in a match for good measure. You're no victim.

If you want to have intelligent arguments, start by treating people as if they were intelligent. Including yourself. For example, don't say this:

Satchip- You clearly are an idiot and have no clue!
Let's talk after you've established some credibility as someone who wants to have respectful debates.

That being said: Happy New Year to you as well.

Regards,

Gotta get primed up for the AS SLI integration. I think we'll get this thread to 100,000 posts by the end of 2010.

A couple of contract questions for the legal eagles:

Is there any upside to a reserve pilot "volunteering" for MAC flying?

Why would anyone volunteer for what amounts to a blank white, or yellow, slip? Also, can they inverse assign these, or just hand them out to reserves to get them covered?

Also, does a pilot have to relocate to use their displacement (relocation package) passes? Given the number of us that are going to be displaced, but who need to sell houses in a down market, I'm wondering if this section is useful for the migrant workers, or if we're in trouble when we reinstate back to our desired base before getting the actual move complete?

3) For the purpose of commuting to the new base, while in the process of relocating:
four (priority SA-1, valid for seven days) round-trips, per bid period for the
eligible pilot, from his conversion date until he establishes a new permanent
residence or one year, whichever is sooner.

You mean 100,000?

It can be done: let's revisit the SLI some more.
