A couple of contract questions for the legal eagles:
Is there any upside to a reserve pilot "volunteering" for MAC flying? Why would anyone volunteer for what amounts to a blank white, or yellow, slip? Also, can they inverse assign these, or just hand them out to reserves to get them covered? Also, does a pilot have to relocate to use their displacement (relocation package) passes? Given the number of us that are going to be displaced, but who need to sell houses in a down market, I'm wondering if this section is useful for the migrant workers, or if we're in trouble when we reinstate back to our desired base before getting the actual move complete? 3) For the purpose of commuting to the new base, while in the process of relocating: four (priority SA-1, valid for seven days) round-trips, per bid period for the eligible pilot, from his conversion date until he establishes a new permanent residence or one year, whichever is sooner. |
