Hey guys

What's the gouge on getting released a few hours early from short call? Is it possible? Its all I'm doing these days and I'd really like an adult beverage or two, seeing as its New Years and all that.

When I see the bid, I think I'll have a look on my face similar to this beautiful young lady.

I don't like your demeanor uncle Leo.

Heyas,

Actually, I'm guessing CVG. That place has been in constant re-wind now since the merger, and MEM has remained more or less stable.

Plus MEM can off-load ATL. DTW doesn't need off-loading from CVG.

Just a guess...

Nu

agreed, they've actually added new routes out of MEM. Both RJ and Bus routes. fwiw

CVG does have a lot of Fortune 500 companies, however, they don't have squat for O&D pax. It is a feed oriented hub. DTW can feed the midwest much better with more connecting opportunities. CVG started it's downhill trend before BK. When DL started getting more aircraft capable of going from the east coast to SLC non-stop and the 727 and 737-200 went away it started to become irrelevant. Plus with all the competing midwest hubs it is harder to make a buck there. Just my 2 centavos.

I think the union is giving them a pass on this but I know a couple pilots who are considering filing a grievance.

Ok, dug out the contract and this is exactly right. So I guess it doesn't really matter when they post the results as long as it's done after SOC. It's actually pretty clear in the contract. In reality the conversion window should end no later than 210 days from Dec 11th (since the 365 day conversion has already been used for calendar year 2009). There is a provision to extend this window with the approval of the individual pilots effected. So if anyone is converted after 210 days from Dec 11 without their consent there could be a valid grievance.

Yeah, but the crew lounge is so nice!

Hope it sticks around, but not holding my breath. Just wish they'd make up their mind and announce it so we can all get on with planning our lives.
