DAL Gang ... PWA question.

Do carry over trips effect the amount of time you can bid in the following month?

For example, I have a carry over trip that pays / blocks 5:00 hours on April 1st. Will my April bid be reduced 5:00 hours from the ALV window?

It will be applied to your credit for April. ALV Plus or minus.

On Travelnet, on the standby list, what carrier is MN?

And... all the credit time gets.. well.. credited in the following month. If you have a 5 hour day on Feb 28th, and a 2 hour day on 1 Mar. for example. If there is trip credit of 6 hours (I am making this all up) you would be credited the 6 hours in March, even if it "occurred" in Feb. Clear as mud?

T; Even I am lost!

I know that if you fly a trip that ends in the next month but start duty in the previous month the entire pay goes on the previous months pay statement.

It will be credited to your month in which you are bidding for. Your beginning credit amount plus what you are awarded in bidding must fall within the line construction window. Look on the "Results" tab of PBS to see exactly how much credit you are starting your bid with.

I don't think that is correct. I believe that the spillover amount will be credited and paid in the spillover month. Also, if you are removed from a spillover trip (for oe, etc) it is at the companies discretion how to pay it out. They can put all the credit in the current month, all in the next month or split it up as they wish.

Block hours are paid in the month you fly them. Credit time on a carry over trip is paid the next month.

I have a 7 day DKR/ABV I start on March 25. It pays 15 hours in March and 30 hours in April.

I also have 9:45 credit in April for recurrent (lucky me)

For April the 7ER B ALV is 75:00.

Since I already have 39:48 in credit , I must bid between 27:42 and 42:42 for PBS to build me a line.

Not true - if you have say, a 25 hours trip that is 15 hours flying and 10 hours credit - and it splits the months. The flying time ends up in whichever month it occured in, but the credit ends up in the second month.

It works that way for PBS too - PBS knows where the time ends up. How do I know - I ended up with a 9 day trip and a 10 day trip that started in the same month. The second trip had like 25 hours of credit that I got in the second month.

Point is and was, that for a line holder he can pickup a set amount out of the pot per month. Cut that like Sailing is stating many guys will cry foul. Ergo, the way to fix it is to raise the rates.

You must remember that people live within the means of what they are making (generally) Cut that by 42% require them to save for retirement, throw in the fact that these guys that took the pay cuts are now parents of college kids, and they need to make X.

I love this job, and want to make what I am worth! Where I live within my means or to the salary I make is my business not the companies.

I say to all, get debt free, pay off the house, and then really start saving money. If you pull that belt buckle in a bunch now, it will pay dividends in a few short years. That is how an average person truly starts to create generational wealth!

Screw my kids! They are lazy good for nuthin's. Let them make their own money. Besides, Neo will take it all when you die.:D
