Looking forward to Detroit.

I wish there was a way to ensure that just YOU have no opportunity to ever fly the DC-9 versus getting furloughed. You should never be so violated by flying the DC-9 just to maintain your job with Delta.

These types of negative comments from people like you are really worthless. You are so new, and should really just shut up and listen to the adults for a while. Anderson called the DC-9 "today's treasure." When you call it a dying pig, you just continue to illustrate how much you don't know.

I look forward to the "dying pig" around here being the negative shots taken against the other group's fleet.

Ralphie.....Looks like you have been at Delta less than 1 year .....One year and you consider yourself the voice of reason as you personally slam our bases and equipment.....Hoping you learn more in your 2nd year......

I fly the A330 out of DTW....I personally like the base/equipment/ & crews....I look forward to working with the new Delta and I am happy to be part of it all..........

Well said. 11 yrs at NWA flying glass for most of it, and bidding left seat on the "dying pig" DC9 is the most fun I've had since I've been here. For all those sand bagging WB F/O instead of taking an upgrade, many of the Capts you fly with, who almost all did lots of time on the DC9 or 727 think you're a bunch of pussies.

Maybe we can get a voluntary furlough/leave program going for those too good to fly the DC9?

Hey Ralphie are Mom and Dad goin' to get you that Red Ryder BB gun you always wanted for Christmas?!:D

My Mom always told me "if you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all!" Maybe all of us could learn something from those words.......myself included!!!:D

Nice, Danny! I've been cracking my brains thinking what to write and you did a great job.

Point is - whatever it is you got to work it out and be happy. And NEVER bring it to work!
Plan for the worst, hope for the best. Isn't it what we all told the psychologist during Delta interview!?

After I got done laughing my ass off, I realized you really are correct.

Did they ever do cockpit refurbs on those things or are they still baby sheet blue with peeling stuff everywhere? The backs looked really good but the cockpits looked terrible. I definitely don't mean this as a slam to my new coworkers and I can only speak for me but I've got more hours than I ever wanted in the -9 and will do anything I can to avoid getting any more. Widebody FOs with cushy jobs may be pussies but they're smart pussies unlike the guys tooling around 5 legs a day to places I wouldn't send my mother in law.:)

Say what you want, but my feelings and thoughts are pretty universal with the junior types I know at pre-merger Delta. I notice you don't see any of these type of comments or observations from the NWA side of the fence. Could it be that there is far less for them to be upset about? You've seen a lot of pre-merger Delta pilots complain about the comparative quality of jobs being brought to the marriage, but you don't see the same from the NWA side. Is that because it's just so much better of a group that they'd never resort to such pettiness or because in reality they have no such complaint?

Rise above the name calling, my new Delta brother, and get off of the junior vs. senior thing; it has no bearing on opinion and honest discourse. If you have some seniority and want to think of junior folks as second class citizens that's your call but it just makes you look like an ass.
