It is small so that they can add "Connection" below it. ;)

How about wondering what damage control is available for the seniority I have left? Roughly 750 Delta Pilots hired after me will be forever senior to me, and benefiting from NW retirements ahead of me. Was going to retire as a WB Capt, now NB. Wanna trade places? DALPA based a large part of their case, successfully, on the unfounded premise of the DC9's imminent demise. Now that it might be *your* aircraft it's unfair? We couldn't manage to negotiate a deal - it's all over now except for the crying (and the supplemental arbitration's) Maybe DALPA will get off their @ss now and support the trip-rig agreed to in the JCBA to everyone's' benefit - even yours Once we get through this economic "downturn" I think widebodies will be available to those who want them. |

Mudhendrvr, I agree. I dont want to keep churning the same complaint but the lack of base/NB fences could hurt for us guys in LAX/SLC. Are you in one of those two bases? What is your company wide seniority from the bottom (ie 7%)?

Sounds great but I am sure that each and every DCI carrier would take DAL to court and have a legal leg to stand on.
Miraculously their D-0, D-5, and A-14 numbers have all gone way up. Wonder why? It makes it very hard for DAL to do anything if they are doing their job! |
The next few months will give them the data they need to decided if and how may people are furloughed |

I don't mean to offend anyone on the DCI side either, and I'm sure Compass doesn't like that we've drawn attention to them in this particular way. Hopefully we'll make it through unscathed on both ends.
These were mostly high-time ATA, Aloha, Spirit and Midwest guys. I think that with that experience comes the realization that furloughs are an inevitable part of this crazy industry and not the fault of other pilots. Should they occur as a result of contractually required flow-backs, I think that most guys would harbor no ill will. It's a part of the business and it was understood when we took the job. Doesn't make it any easier, but it's not the fault of any pilot. |

I don't think that Compass pilots take any offense. Most of the guys that I've met are pretty pragmatic about our situation.
I am all for a mass expansion of Compass at the expense of the rest of DCI. For selfish reasons. Would love to see you with more planes than you have people. And in every base. :D |

Yup, I am SLC right now and I am much less than that 7%. I don't care what I fly, as long as it is west of the mississippi. I hope that will still be possible, but we will not know how it flows until the first couple of AE's. Either way, it is TNT movie re-runs at the crashpad on reserve for the next couple of years I fear.
"All your base are belong to us!" Mwhahahahaha..... Sorry, couldn't help it. Be careful of what you ask for....you might get it. Nu |
