I do not believe so. Your seat lock as you will see in the AE section of DBMS starts at the date of award, not date of conversion.

Super, would you want to to make you full but hose the senior F-NWA guys and make them wait until 2012 for the full DC match? If so, is that fair? The we still have a divide.

What is your solution to this? Who have you called? Just ALPA reps? Cp? etc?

To start with a grievance shortly followed by a DFR class-action lawsuit against ALPA the moment a junior pilot enters the list with a higher DC. I'm tired of talking to Reps and not getting a response from MEC members who have an ALPA National career on their agenda. Nothing would make me happier than to see ALPA and everything it stands for side lined by an in house union that has Delta pilots as their primary concern.

And an entire major airline, Alaska, as a scope exception. Please tell me that will be a strike item in 2012? Nope, never happen with ALPA.

Great news on all accounts.

MEM, my curiosity is why was it ever done this way? Really I do not know.

Not sure about previous methods, but when I was hired in '00, we were not given a longevity date until the first person in our class finished OE. So each class has a hire date, and an "adjusted longevity date" that was used for pay bumps. During the merger, we were restored for furlough time, but only in reference to our adjusted longevity date.

I've always been thankful for the raise but neither of us is where we were or where we should be so lets don't pat ourselves too much.

I agree with Super, I have no beef with the SLI. As NewK and I have said numerous times, us '95 guys keep our mouths shut when the SLI comes up for good reasons.

But, everything else, while over the top, is true. I understand adopt and go and confuse the small number than the big number. But, you have to admit, the division of labor in this marriage has just $ucked. From procedures to bidding to uniforms to insurance (and the list goes on) you guys have never said "it's cool guys, we've got this one just relax".

Over time, I've come to believe "adopt and go" is just code for "let the NWA guys do it." I'm ok so far, but please don't blow sunshine up my buttocks.

Rant over!:D
Your Uncle Ferd

Ferd,

I agree with most of what you have to say, but from reading this guys rant I bet he can find a way to make anything seem bad. Maybe this guy got hosed, maybe he is just a negative kind of guy but either way it does not matter. You can pick guys from both sides who got a raw deal - it is impossible to do a merger where everyone gains.

As far as carrying the Lions share of the merger burden - hands down it goes to the North guys - South guys by North guys a beer on your next layover.

Scoop :)

Yeah, so could someone please mark this spot on the thread, and repost to let us know when the whiny BS that he seems to like regenerating dies down again. I'm going to another forum for awhile.

That seems like a pretty good deal since some guys were out for a couple of years and it was only a few months to finish IOE.

TOGA how do you grieve something that is black and white in the PWA?

DFR? Against who? The NWA MEC which is no longer in existence?

Bye... don't hurry back. Hit the ALPA forum and the LEE website while you are at it

Exactly. Grievance not possible.

I really can't believe this turned into such a stink. I'm sorry I ever mentioned it. Sheesh.

How much merger equity did you get, compared to that new hire?;)
