Comments???? 330's to LAX?? LOL. Bye bye 320 MSP...Hello ATL from what I heard in MSP last week.

Baja.

I don't think they'll close the MSP 320 base, they'd just pull time from there & DTW. Closing the MSP DC9 base will cause enough carnage in MSP as it is.

Hypothetical.

A pilot with a personality issue that causes him to really like flying domestic on McDonnell Douglas aircraft sought professional help while holding a MD88FO position. After one therapy session, said pilot admitted that he really wanted to be a "real" Delta pilot and wanted to fly a "real" aircraft. So on the last AE, he put an AE bid in to fly the 7ER ... despite all of his fellow maddog brothers telling him "you're going to regret it".

Wouldn't you know it, said pilot was awarded an AE to the 7ER. Unfortunately, said pilot's personality problem is back, and he now regretting that decision. Said pilot will convert in February of this year.

With this latest AE announcement, is there a snowball's chance in hell that he can get displaced or voluntary displaced back to the M88? Or is he seat locked on the 7ER for two years international hell?

I want to say you can withdraw from qualification training prior to being converted, but you would incur a 2 year seatlocked in your current position. This may just have been a fnwa going to dal equipment and vice versa. Standby-I'll look it up. One of the gurus around here can probably confirm or deny before I find it anyways

Does anybody know when the last new hire class was? According to the seniority list it was 10/25. Is this correct or are there some other newbies in training right now who haven't showed up on the current seniority list. Also, why are there still a bunch of pilots on the seniority list who are unassigned? Shouldn't they have been assigned a category on the first day of class?

It's only Fnwa to fDAL and vice-verse, I think. It was more to alleviate any problems in training due to differences in the way the north did it vs the south.

I can see them drawing down the 320 in MSP and adding 88s up there. You can do almost everything that the 320 can do out of MSP on the 88. The 320 can do what the 88 can't in ATL in regards to range.

I hope..... Just about to put an offer in on my rental house up here in Wisconsin. Hope it doesn't bite me...

Edit, Forgot we had a 330 base in MSP. Time could come form MSP or SEA. Here is a statement from the company.

We expect this bid to put us in a solid position to support the scheduled 2011 summer flying. We plan to publish our next bid in the second quarter of 2011 to support the proposed fall 2011 flying. Can someone post the procedures for downloading your schedule via I crew max to Google Calendar for import into a Droid phone.

I successfully accomplished this last month but have since totally forgotten how to do it.

Thanks Scoop

Looks like you're right with 1 exception. PWA 11.J covers this situation. KC10's "friend" could withdraw from ER training if the initial training is conducted at the MSP training facility provided he is a fdal pilot. In that instance he could return to his former -88 position while incurring a 2 year freeze

Heck, maybe they've decided not to move any 330 time on the next bid and are just covering additional flying!!!!

I forgot we had a 330 base in MSP. They could share the pain with SEA if a ATL base is opened. Its never fun when they pull time out of your base to fund another base. I was in SLC when we had 120 crews on the 767. They yanked 60 crews out to open up the LAX category. Huge impact on the SLC base at the time.
