No... it just means it's an unreliable method.

But your author pay probably can!!!

You. Me. A wager.

Beers on me if Steelers lose. Beers on you if the Packers lose.(when our paths cross.)

Someone was mentioning Essential Air Service (EAS) - completely separate. EAS routes are subsidized routes to very small towns (places used to be like Watertown, NY, Saranac, NY, etc) but none of the routes link to LGA. Watertown's link to the outside world is via Cape Air's Cessna-402 service to Albany, NY. Not a big market... None connect to LGA. In fact, a number of the EAS routes connect to DTW.

If DAL/LLC are talking with the DOT/DOJ, as advertised in the media, I would think that they may be close to coming to some sort of compromise.
The "compromise" is probably how much charity we will be forced to gift SWA and maybe JB (but mostly SWA). They are "most favored nation" in this deal IMHO.

That crap may have flew 6 months ago, but now with the Airtran merger that argument is mute. Perhaps the new UAL/CAL should have held out as well as opposed to offering up EWR slots. Now they have to compete with the sum of both a AAI/SWA combined presence in EWR.

It still is funny to me that a deal to swap landing slots came under more scrutiny than two major legacy carriers merging as a direct result of the merger being more willing to appease the SWA gods.

Glad we pushed back on this, hopefully it gets resolved within reason.

Just charge it and pay it off when you get your extra check on Feb 14th

Look at the 330 rotations out of MSP that do flying out of ATL.

Look at the parings that do a significant flying out of ATL. Many of then have DH's in the paring. Point is that if they can relocate a category and save on those DH's it is a savings of not just money but pilot positions.

As for the size of these rumored categories, who knows. The 320 does a ton of NYC flying too, but there is not talk of a base up there. It all comes down to the most efficient place for a crew to start and end a trip.

Default Boston Crew Base

I do alot of shuttle flying since I live in Boston and some trips end with a dh. We need a BOS 320 base to cover the shuttle. The lack of reserve's causes sched to use pilots who are blockholder's to be abused my adding turns down to LGA. Doesn't seem like a big deal except most pilot's miss their commutes home. Does sched ever call you with changes or are you suppose to constantly check your sched on the computer?

With all this talk about needing more A320 bases it appears to me we need more 320s...I am all for it.
