Just to build on what upndsky said about YS flying. Even if scheduling assigns the trip after 1500 you only have to accept it if you have received 12+ hours of notice. Excellent point. If I'm commuting and see I have long call on the 1500 check, I will pull my YS until 11pm because of this. That way if you do get a trip on your YS, you only have to accept it if it's after 11am (use whatever time you can make it to base in the morning - 12 hours + your personal comfort factor.). YS less than 12 hours to report is a proffer ONLY.

I don't think the Marine terminal is large enough to handle the entire Usair ops. That is why in the original deal we were giving them 3 gates in our building.

Remember they are giving us a bunch of their slots too, so it would be a much smaller US Airways operation.

I start reserve on Friday and am coming off a few days off. It says I have to check DBMS or VRU no later than 0200 on my 1st day of reserve when coming off of days off. Does this mean I have to stay up until midnight in order to check DBMS/VRU? I assume icrew is the same as DMBS/VRU? Sorry guys, I"m trying to figure this out on my own but I'm kind of confused on what I need to do on my 1st reserve day. Thanks to whoever chimes in with answer
For all new pilots, and old pilots, when the delta alpa website is working there is a document you should search for called CA 09-12. That CA stands for Contract Awareness. It's 1,170 pages long.

What's great is you can keyword search everything from the PWA to all of the supplemental documents. It's a tremendously helpful document. As to your particular question, I'm a few minutes from getting in trouble for being on the internet again.

Here is the table of contents below. The Get to Know Your Contract and the TWG (Transition Working Group) puts the contract in lamens terms but then links back to the full PWA. The TWG was for NWA pilots transitioning to the contract... and for all of the thousands of us PMDAL pilots who had no clue about the Delta PWA. It's very well done. Not sure if they've updated recently but the fact you can keyword through all of those documents is great.
