This governor's my way or highway is just as poor as Nancy Pelosi's with the health care issue. The guy is a thug.......with no balls. If he had balls, he would have included the cops and firefighters, he didn't.
In the end it doesn't matter if teachers or any other state worker is paid enough for what they do. Their employer is going broke. When the airlines were failing, we took pay/benefit cuts. It sucked and it was painful. But we had to do it. States are going broke. They cannot afford the compensation package of state workers. There is no choice but to cut that compensation.

I fully support the governors of the states that are finally doing something about their budgets. Frankly, I don't think they are going far enough. Obama needs to follow suit on the federal level.

Why, I can make a hat or a brooch or a pterodactyl.

Maybe Hefner saw what we all see in the DC9*...burning beacon of raw sexuality.

It should be noted that the Wisconsin teachers have already agreed to take paycuts, and chip in more for their pensions and health care. The governor wants them to also give up their right to collectively bargain.

What if Delta had forced us to take paycuts, which we accepted, but they also wanted us to get rid of ALPA, and only be able to NEGOTIATE for raises UP TO the rate of inflation every year from here on out?

It's not about the budgets.

Not to be a downer, but when is the last time anyone of us got any good news about our respective airlines?

And I mean good news, not just "no bad news" or "works out to be par" news.

I mean "hot dog, this is great, and things are going to really get going now!" news.

I don't think government workers should have the right to collectively bargain.
