Several of mine are still out.... and flying around, I've got no idea which jet they might be on.

Of course manual services will COMAT a replacement and they now know me. They joking suggested that the way to prevent losing them was to leave them properly stowed at all times.

When I had a LCA onboard, I got my Vol-1 out and I read all of the things that required my attention. The Capt kind of laughed at me because I was acting it up and being overly thorough. :)

Got to love the 88.

I hope this is not a hint for new service........

Delta has opened its first combined corporate Sales, Reservation Sales and customer ticket office in Beirut, Lebanon. The sales office allows customers to easily purchase tickets on Delta flights to the U.S. and beyond, including Delta’s nonstop service between Amman, Jordan and New York-JFK.

While Delta does not offer service from Beirut, there has been high demand from passengers in Lebanon to fly to Jordan and connect with Delta’s nonstop service from Amman to JFK, said Jimmy Eichelgruen, regional director for Sales in the Middle East, Africa and India.

“The new ticket office will ensure that we are able to offer our Lebanese customers better service and more convenience when booking their Delta travel itineraries, and we’re extremely pleased Delta will have a dedicated team based in such a prestigious building in the heart of Beirut.”

The office will be open from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Thursday, and from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturdays

Why not?

City of over 2 million that is becoming a tourist destination again. Also has religious diversity for the Muslim world.

According to Wiki:

Beirut was named the number one Place to Visit in 2009 by The New York Times.[5] It was also listed as one of the top ten liveliest cities in the world by the Lonely Planet list of the top ten cities for 2009. [6]
I'm not sure how an airline can do business securely on a global scale without serving the Muslim world. The only secure answer would be to draw a circle that excluded Muslim territories... these days, that includes Detroit.

I'll fly passengers where Delta tells me to.

I agree, but I would love to see where we would layover.

I would not mind going. Like you, I will go almost anywhere.

If Lebanon wasn't in the poor shape that its in it would be an awesome country to visit from the beaches to the mountains- where you could go skiing.

You need the cheat sheet they had at my former employer.

I had every VOR memorized from DC to ELP.
