What is going on at F9?
First FAPA votes for cuts in the contract for future stock in the company, or something like that.
Now I read that Frontier is switching pilot unions to the teamsters!
Seems strange that this happened all at once.

With the combined list and a greater percentage of Republic pilots, Frontier got out voted, the IBT has always been Republics union.

But SWA got a raise when they accepted the 800 rates. In actuality they accepted 800 pay for 700 flying as all flying is now with the raise. I am not sure how much of a raise they got as they have not taken delivery of any 800s and so the new pay rate is not in effect yet.

sailing: i am sure YOU are confident that our highly compensated ALPA team and its multi-million-dollar-lawyers can figure out a way to get us what we deserve! IMO: attempting to manage our expectations lower they have already been managed will only accelerate efforts towards new representation.
even the "complete-the-mission-types" are starting to complain about the ALPA lanyard getting a little "too itchy" to wear in public!

I'm on my 6th on call day with 4 more to go until my next x day (domestic). I should expect a call putting me in rest for tomorrow shouldn't I? What should I do/what can they do with me if the call doesn't come? Thanks for the info.
About the only thing they can do is deadhead you to a 24 hour layover.
I am coming up on this same situation and have been trying to find the answer in writing. I have been looking at "When Scheduling Calls" and the contract and haven't found anything yet. The only thing that I have found referencing it so far is on the Crew Resources and Scheduling page. "As a result, it is possible for PBS to award RES days on Sept 1-2 which would give the pilot 11 consecutive RES days. This is both FAR and Contractually compliant and only requires a 24 hour break in duty in any 7 day period" Nothing about a phone call though, seems to me that they would have to put rest on your schedule somewhere to make you legal. Hopefully someone will be able to come up with a better answer.
