MEM will give up 320 flying to ATL
If MEM gives up 320 flying to ATL and the 9s go away then we'll close that as a mainline pilot base won't we?

It would appear that way wouldn't it. I guess we could keep a small base there, but frankly, I see us moving to Super Hubs, with large pilot bases. I would like satellite basing, but that may not work with how marking changes the gauge of the lift.

sailing: i am sure YOU are confident that our highly compensated ALPA team and its multi-million-dollar-lawyers can figure out a way to get us what we deserve! IMO: attempting to manage our expectations lower they have already been managed will only accelerate efforts towards new representation.

even the "complete-the-mission-types" are starting to complain about the ALPA lanyard getting a little "too itchy" to wear in public!
That's some funny stuff right there.

Just remember when filling out the survey, Scope and Pay in that order.
Correct, and correct.

But also remember that no matter what you put down on your survey, we'll be working under these BK/emergency rates until AT LEAST 2013...while AirTran pilots will be making more than our 744/777 Captains.

Many people confuse the two.

They can also assign you a trip that reports after this rest period ends while you are on it.
I guess your threshold for a "big difference" is a little lower than mine

I agree with ACL Regional guys get 24 hrs at home, delta guys can get 24 at the JAN Holiday Inn That to me is a BIG DIFFERENCE!

Glad we gave that up, or the company would have been liquidated

Our NO votes are the single most important thing for us to all remember when it gets to crunch time about 18 months from now. It will be important, but extremely difficult for those who've never been through a Section 6 process before. At crunch time, our union reps will come out with scare tactics like you and your wives have never seen before. They will talk of things like "A NO vote will ruin everything", and "A NO vote will mean the end of the MEC and negotiating committee and we'll have to start over from ground zero after the new elections", and "A NO vote will show such division in our pilot group that management's next offer will be FAR WORSE than this one", etc., etc...

This will of course all be complete BS, but it WILL happen. When it does, be ready...and vote NO.

Carl
I have time, and I will not vote for something that I see as falling short.

Oh and Carl, I am already preparing. I am restarting a business I ran about a decade ago, just to make sure I have the insurance I need.
