Any "Latest & Greatest" about Delta?
It would appear that way wouldn't it. I guess we could keep a small base there, but frankly, I see us moving to Super Hubs, with large pilot bases. I would like satellite basing, but that may not work with how marking changes the gauge of the lift.
of course the company will use this against us...who cares?
sailing: i am sure YOU are confident that our highly compensated ALPA team and its multi-million-dollar-lawyers can figure out a way to get us what we deserve! IMO: attempting to manage our expectations lower they have already been managed will only accelerate efforts towards new representation.
even the "complete-the-mission-types" are starting to complain about the ALPA lanyard getting a little "too itchy" to wear in public!

I have to agree 100%.
I told our reps what my number is and it is above SWA +1%. For us to get a yes vote they will need to fix everything else and beast the old/current SWA rates by a good margin.
Just remember when filling out the survey, Scope and Pay in that order.

But also remember that no matter what you put down on your survey, we'll be working under these BK/emergency rates until AT LEAST 2013...while AirTran pilots will be making more than our 744/777 Captains.

The big difference is that you can be on a trip, and not on duty, but not from company obligation. For many regional drivers here, they had in their contracts a calender day off at home in seven not a 24 hr period free from duty, which could be "rest" in the middle of a trip. Many people confuse the two.
They can also assign you a trip that reports after this rest period ends while you are on it.

This will of course all be complete BS, but it WILL happen. When it does, be ready...and vote NO.

I have time, and I will not vote for something that I see as falling short.
Oh and Carl, I am already preparing. I am restarting a business I ran about a decade ago, just to make sure I have the insurance I need.

Glad we gave that up, or the company would have been liquidated
