How in the world does scheduling give out a 3 day greenslip on the NY 7ER when there are 11 people on the availability list that have at least 3 days of availability?!

OK, but has anyone run into a SWA pilot who's making LESS than a Delta pilot and working more days than most of us do?

I think people are bringing up these examples because some people on here were saying that the SWAPA brochure was incorrect and the numbers were wrong. These example are just to counteract that.

Check out the FO who just got a 3 day out of base GS in SLC. He even has 24+ hours to report. Sounds a little strange to me.

I'm really thankful for a great Chief Pilot with common sense. But FYI... be very careful with commuting and with deviating from deadhead.
Any way you can elaborate on this a little without exposing yourself? Personally, I think the new deviate from deadhead policies are worthless. Scheduling can DH me on DCI to my base, but they can't send me home on DCI? They will PS to suit their needs, but there has to be seats available to suit my needs? If there are seats available, I can nonrev. This policy is worthless!

Any AVERAGE type SWA guy out there willing to blank out their personal data, scan and post their W2? Getting bored with all the 2nd and 3rd heard from so and so stories.

Unfortunately, this has been an unpleasant reality for, well, going on a few years now....

Because that list is worth nothing. It's one of the most useless and pointless things available to us. That list gives us NO guidance as to who is actually available for reserve. Some of those could be on FAR rest. Some could have a 30/7 conflict(Assuming it's a domestic trip). Some may be finishing a trip tonight.

Here's an idea. If someone ISN'T really available, how about we DON'T put them on the availability list.

Actually, I'd like the list to show what everyone is doing. Just like it list short calls, I'd like to see rotation numbers next to those that are out on a trip or long call, rest, etc.
