People do that because almost nobody wants them! RJ pilots wish they were all gone because that would mean a better chance of already being at a major. Major pilots wish they were all gone because it would mean less outsourcing. Passengers wish they were all gone because...they're RJ's.
It's nothing personal. It's just that almost everyone hates RJ's. Carl |

Joe, you should have corrected my count. It's actually TWO RJ's that are history!! I forgot about the A-380 sit n spin.

Nah. As long as nobody is hurt, its perfectly acceptable to joke about it.
The only bad part is what 80 mentioned -- there's one ER captain out there who is going to be doing a lot of dancing on the carpet. Anybody have a wild guess what this will cost? Damages, lost revenue from 2 jets for XX weeks, etc. etc. Yikes! Certainly a blessing that nobody was hurt, but that poor Captain has got to be feeling pretty sick right now. |

You guys, we could bash Joe all day long. It's fun to push his buttons but lets move on to more important things.

Carpet Dance
I know the captain isn't having a good night but could he/she see the wing tip from his vantage point?
I guess I'm curious if everyone on the center line and this was just bad luck.... Now as far as your RJ reduction program....does this count as a work action? |

The 90 seat RJ is simply a modern day DC9....It's said that you and others actually agree with management by calling it simply an "RJ"....That airplane was bigger than the former NWA DC9-10s...and I wouldn't laugh about one of them being hit....

Might as well poke the hornet nest. Here we go: Clearly a jet should not taxi into another jet that isn't moving. That's a given. But --- this is 2 in a row now of Comair stretch RJs not pulling up far enough for their tails to clear the taxiway behind them. Has anyone told those boys the 76 seaters are longer? I'm just sayin... |
