Several Commercial Crew unions have called for an industrial action from Saturday October 29 to Wednesday November 02, 2011 included. We are compelled to reduce our flight schedule accordingly and we do not exclude "on the spot" cancellations as well as delays.
We apologize to customers affected by this situation and will do our utmost to reduce any inconvenience.
At the present time, we plan to cancel the following long-haul flights:
- On October29:
AF022-AF023 Paris / New York / Paris
AF008-AF009 Paris / New York / Paris
AF348-AF349 Paris / Montréal / Paris
AF072-AF073 Paris / Los Angeles / Paris
AF026-AF027 Paris / Washington / Paris
AF682-AF681 Paris / Atlanta / Paris
AF278-AF277 Paris / Tokyo-Narita / Paris
AF3848-AF3849 Paris / Abu Dhabi / Paris
AF834-AF833 Paris / Pointe Noire / Paris
AF946-AF943 Paris / Douala / Paris
- On October30:
AF022-AF023 Paris / New York / Paris
AF008-AF009 Paris / New York / Paris
AF344-AF345 Paris / Montréal / Paris
AF072-AF073 Paris / Los Angeles / Paris
AF026-AF027 Paris / Washington / Paris
AF682-AF681 Paris / Atlanta / Paris
AF278-AF277 Paris / Tokyo-Narita / Paris
AF3848-AF3849 Paris / Abu Dhabi / Paris
AF3510-AF3515 Paris / Saint Marteen / Paris
Maybe because of the above, Delta flt 184 tonight was a 747-400 from JFK to CDG instead of the normal 76ER.

Contract question...any help appreciated! Finished a trip earlier this month with a medical divert from Europe to Jfk...landed in Iceland for about an hour. We thought that we would get paid for the ground time also (as flight time) since the pax never got off the aircraft. Talked to the pilot pay specialist who was a little confused as he was looking into REROUTE pay which is not what we did....anybody know if we only get straight flight pay for these types of diverts. I remember we had a side letter or LOA back around the time of the merger that discussed this . Any help would be greatly appreciated here since I will not hold my breath in trying to contact any admin people this weekend!

In case anyone feels like being evil to the other guests in the hotel, who are hogging YOUR bandwidth:
Kick Other Devices off a Wi-Fi Network with WiFiKill on Android

Here is one quick way to steal your information.
I will use my personal wifi at home (I'm in a rural area) and will use my cellphones 4G connection when out on a rotation. The 4G network is very fast. I can listen to a radio station, YouTube ... ok Xtube ..., and Facebook/email all at the same time. How much more bandwidth do you need?

I know I said it, and long term I still think its a given. Its great we're not dumping the 2 whales right now, but unless we order the -800 (unlikely) or the 380 (not going to happen) I just don't see us keeping barely over a dozen -400's long term against the more efficient 4 engine planes coming online. Especially when our government subsidizes foreign airlines over us to get the very expensive planes. We'll see.

However, I'm not a scheduling expert. :-)

I've stopped using public Wifi systems, even if they have security in place. They threat is too dangerous. Would you knowingly connect your computer to a hacker or allow a hacker to read the information you send/receive? Of course you wouldn't.
